The mother having terminal stomach cancer is so insanely depressing, idk if i can continue to watch this drama. I mean i am all in favor of sad dramas from time to time but i hate when misery just piles on to the main leads life one after the other, thats just too depressing
I will probably continue bc the drama got me hooked but i still wish she didnt have cancer :(
Just finished ep 7 and whyyy tf they had to take away her pig farm, ik this is just a show but my heart aches too much
This much suffering spoils the show for me

I am pretty sure yeojin and seojin is kang ho's kids, might explain why min joo is soo stern on her kids not interacting with him

The female lead will be doing the most random thing like walking or drinking coffee and the music in the background will be ''SOMETIMES ITS HARD TO BE A WOMANNNNN'' (like ok true but that is irrelevant in this context???)
It was funny and frustrating at the same time lmaoo, the ost didnt suit the scenes or the show in general at all.

They should have had an ost in the perspective of Jonn hae tbh, he is the one who suffered the most, poor guy i just wanted to reach out and give him a hug. #justiceforjoonhae

Honestly the first 10 episodes is a 9/10. They had good communication, no misunderstandings and they had mutual respect for each other which i appreciated very much, and dont get me started on their chemistry, one of the best couples in kdramas, they have a very natural unforced chemistry, you would actually think they were in love lol.
And one of the sweetest most understanding MLS ever, who always acted rationally instead of acting on his instincts and trying to manhandle the fl. I really wish to see more of these guys in kdramas instead of those 'toxic alphas'.

However everything went seriously downhill after they revealed their relationship to their mother, they could have ended the show on ep 12 and it would have been a perfect cute drama but NOOOOOOO, they had to make the last few episodes full of lies and misunderstanding and unwanted deception despite having wonderful communication in first few eps.
It frustrated me so damn much and i really wish the FL stood up to her mom more and protected ML more instead of quietly giving in to her moms demands.
Never hated a character as much as her mother i am so serious.

Also i hate how the drama kept implying that 'all parents know and do their best for their kids'. The mother was clearly abusive and it was ok to address and admit that(when her brother said this, he was painted as an ungrateful child who doesnt understand his parents) or how everyone including the FL expected Joon hae to forgive and understand his father (sperm donor more like), bc he is 'family'. He did not owe that piece of shit father anything, i JUST HATED how the FL acted like the ML was immature and forced him to amend his relation with the dad despite the dad taking no initiative to mend it.


AND DO NOT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE LAST 2 EPISODES, i would have forgiven and overlooked the flaws in the drama (just bc they are are very cute and lovely couple) IF THEY HAD A BETTER ENDING.

After dragging the story for agessssss, they had to have such a rushed and forced ending

i loveeed the plot. It was fresh and unique, i did kind of enjoy the selection of the crown prince process more than the 2nd half of the show.
it was really amusing for me to see the half brothers and concubines relationship lol. Should have added daughters atleast 2-3 it would have been interesting

we saw buyeon for like 10 secs this season how do you know lol

if it makes you feel better they. don't catch actual feelings for each other till around ep 11.

there was like more than 100 people who died everyday because the mainleads were selfish they did not even feel an ounce of sympathy for the people who are dying because of THEM.
You have to remember that people were dying only and only bc of her, it wld have been a little more understandable if it as another storyline the deaths were not directly related to her.

The main thing i hated which made me really dislike the main lead. There were 1000s of people dying in 3 secs for noooo reason bc the ml and fl are selfish are would rater have all those innocent lived die that find a solution to get the serpent out of her. It would have been a lil fine if they atleast showed some SYMPATHY to those people, but they are unfazed and showed no remorse going on dates as people were dying
I agree when the underworld grandma says '' What makes you both more worthy of living than those 100s of people who lost their lives''

I surprisingly liked it, there are a lot of plot holes that could have been EASILY avoided. But the writers chose to do lazy writing.
One thing i actually hated about this show-

I will be tuning him, but is he the main role?? I dont remember seeing him in the trailer. I hope is role is not boring

I want to watch 1 drama where his charter is not a cold personality less boring man. He might do well in cheerful extrovert puppy like roles who knows. He has been acting for more than 5 yrs now. he must have improved atleast a little bit right?

the ending wil probably not affect you opinion on this drama. Besides s2 is coming anyways so thy'll tie up the lose ends there
