exactly thats what i feel as well, i know the webtoon is a bit different and seojun could also treat jugeyong well but honestly, if two friends fight over a girl, its really not worth it. and its proof with the webtoon, it got way too dragged. So its SuhoXJugyeong and its okay if people don't support them since its just a fictional rom com, but lets all come to a comclusion that its going to be them.

Also i apologize. I exactly get what you mean. The comparison should have never started in the first place. It became this tradition where a lot of us were ignorant and just blindly followed along saying: "YEAHHHH START UP IS WORSE!!" but it was more of a way of i think fitting in than actually being rational on what we were saying.

Okay i'll try to explain as easy as possible so u can understand :)

I completely get what you mean but SLS does not always follow its "true" term. SLS does not always consist of wanting who the main lead for Jugyeong or exactly taking it seriously.

First of all, if you think about it, both of the male leads are very likable so its pretty obvious why people will swoon over Seojun and want him to be with Jugyeong.

Sometimes you ship someone with someone not really because you see it from Jugyeongs shoes, but because you see it from YOUR shoes. You see yourself being with this guy and how if you were her, you would choose him so you initially want him to be with her. I know thats not the smartest but for a cliche rom com where 99% of the viewers do not take it seriously as start up, its actually reasonable, because again, this is not serious.

It's just a highschool love triangle, people are not going to be rational like start up, they are going to be emotional because they love this guy and they can't see him get hurt. Most of the viewers care more about Suho and Seojun than Jugyeong.

Does that make sense? Let's make it more simple. Take for example Extraordinary you. The second male lead is Baekhyung but why were people wanting him to end up with the FL even though he was controlling and abusive? Exactly, it makes no sense. They just like his bad boy personality

But for Seojun, its not just because of his personality, it's also because a lot of people think he is as equal as Suho. The webtoon has A LOT to do with this. This drama would not have so many views if it wasn't for the avid webtoon readers who actually grew close to it, many of them wanting "justice" for Seojun. Yes he did not see her without her makeup but still, he did not choose that. From all of his Suho scenes in the webtoon, to actually being with her the longest and actually having putting the most effort, its kind of obvious why people still root for him, even if the drama made it seem otherwise.

I personally think that Seojun and Suho have equally good morals and would treat Jugyeong equally. However of course Suho is the best one for her but i do like SJxJK cute moments because a guilty pleasure.

I mean True Beauty comment section is mostly teenagers but theres some avid respectful adults there as well that love the drama, in fact there is a lot, but they don't cause arguments.

People like Navia, Dreamy, Nsinclair, ClaudiaKdrama4ever, Barbora, etc, are all very respectful and kind people, i just think the comment section does not realize what its saying sometimes, so idk, who knows, i just go there because i like the kdrama lol.

thats what i feel as well. if u are wearing two small pieces of cloth on your sexual parts then how do u expect people to not think ur basically naked? however of course i'm not saying people cannot do what they want to do, i just think its quite obvious that u are basically half naked when u wear a bikini and bra lol.

If i have to be completely honest, i don't think the love triangle is even that deep or an actual triangle. Its more of a line segment. In fact the FL has not even considered (so far) a slight grain that the SL likes her back. I think it's just the true beauty comment section (even all over social media worldwide) that makes this such a huge deal, including me, while being clearly aware to not be taken serious in the first place.

Yes i understand. I was one of those people. However, i doubt that most of those people are dodal shippers, some are indeed (since there was once an argument where some were ranting about HIY stans) but others, well they are like me. This whole comparison/downgrading of the Start Up comment section started way long ago and people likely picked up this phrase and its now becoming tradition to say "This aint like start up, stop fighting" etc.

I truly believe that because a lot of these viewers are teenagers, theres a lot of adults but the ones who actively comment are the teenagers, including me. So i don't think half of us are even rational of what the hell we are saying lol.

this drama is definitely not for everyone. u will either like it or dislike it. which is completely understandable considering this drama is a very slice of life so some getting bored is expected. but do give it a shot though, its relaxing and calm.

I was actually here some days when it was airing and the comment section was PACKED. In fact both of the comment sections are dramatic but i rose one up to make the other one look bad which wasn't exactly okay. I don't really care of Start Up because i never watched it, just spoiled myself with Kim Seon Ho emotional clips and lots of spoilers/clips so i know the basic premise/outline of the story.

I think both sides should look at it from an objective perspective. Here in Start Up there was a distinction with more deeper/serious conversations because well, the story is deep and the males are completely opposite.

But for True Beauty, its just most non serious emotional comments that dont give two shits in being rational. The whole story is revived around emotion rather than brain. And i think thats fine considering the drama is just cheese (with a hint of deeper underlying lengths)

Also yes of course, age group. True Beauty will have more fights since you know, teenagers. Teenagers being teenagers, including me who is still so young (not too young tho :D)

Also, if i was one of the people who drove some people away from the comment section. (Idk if i was, but who knows) then i apologize I genuinely did not mean anything wrong but i understand how you guys felt. I should have seen the other viewpoint.
