So that’s why the PM was surprised to hear she proposed first, the adorable prince was lingering around his crush since high school and the PM saw it all! Kinda explains why the PM did not actively do anything to stop the marriage or actually interrupt the 2 till he found out it wasn’t real but even then he was respectful and took the gentle rejection in stride. Hope he stays this green flag and finds someone who’ll cherish him. Also, i think the brother/sister in law duo are misunderstood cz the father’s an asshole. He needs a redemption arc
XIE WEI you say???? 👀 LI SU SU???? That alone will make me watch this
RJL is known to not act those scenes so the least we’ll get is a zoom out of the bed as insinuating what happened but I hope the chemistry will be amazing! Have you seen “veil of shadows”? Barely one kiss but the drama did not lack an ounce of romance or chemistry so hope it’s similar in production (his last drama was not promising)
So pushing her husband to his death was not enough (either she killed him cz he was going to give the throne to his brother or her burning the paper was the last step for him to let the fire take him instead of putting it out) but that queen is also pushing her kid on the same path way too early. And an attempted murder on the grand prince’s girlfriend which will never come to light. This accident will make the fl take this marriage seriously and actually star noticing she’s falling for the guy. I’m glad the proposal from the minister is happening soon so she can understand she wants the prince not just for his title and can cleanly reject this guy cz he’s not taking the marriage seriously either.
I feel like there may be a twist (like a paparazzi was invited to take photos) but our boy may be catching feelings…
Might be but u can see he was so caught up in her beauty that he just went for it u know, an act of impulse and early but still it’s the start of his feelings even if someone was there to take a pic as well. My comment on the fact that he acted rather than wait for actual feelings to develop and act upon it by ep 10 or something like other shows. This is fast paced but realistic cuz they still haven’t actually fallen but they acted upon the small butterflies.
Finally a rom com where the leads act on their spark rather than wait a long time for feelings to be deep and confess. She’s cute in the moment and he kisses her! Realistically she’s still in the mentality of the whole thing being temporary but acting on their feelings now allows for no chance of a misunderstanding and for their feelings to just grow from now and a confession to happen.
Anyone else think the queen’s an ex or wished the king the ml was the heir so he could’ve been her partner? I’m feeling a regretful vibe from her and it’s romantic not just paranoia for her kid’s future. Especially that bathrobe scene!
It’s actually weirdly enjoyable tho it’s cliche. I’m loving the comedy but the lessons are there so it’s not as low production as depicted, just a normal script but the acting is nice and the chemistry is there so it’s enjoyable as a funny chill vibe. Basically like his other romcoms (perfect and casual) comes to mind
green light (go) - kind, nice, respectful and so on. a perfect guy to date/marry red light (stop)- dark romance basically and toxic as hell so this version of him is red they're traffic lights but called flags no clue why but that's the term
um i can't be hating miles here cz i'm also watching "you are my fateful love" and used to him being a green flag ML but he's doing a really good job here so what to do ? it's affecting my impression of him!
Yeah, his power feels low for such a big role, but his loyalty and guts—like risking the Void despite being…
Yes his heart is good and that’s the only reason I’m not dropping it but u can’t deny that something feels missing. If not his strength then some sort of edginess to him (especially cz of his assassin past) or something to make the 2ML actually threatened cz his smugness is pissing me off. Tho it does show a contrast for the males. Power vs Heart and simu chose heart but I still want him to be able to slap the 2ML atleast once
um i'm all for girl power but i dislike a mundane ML. yes he's charming and all but i hate that the starhaven sect exists and he's chosen by an awesome sword yet is so very average on a power scale. like why does he have the sword and why is he of all ppl her spell bearer yet zero power? the guy is just able to fight well but is losing his senses too so this a bit overkill now. If she ends up becoming a mortal in the end then he needs to power up to protect them in the future if her enemies decide to kill her (assuming they kill yan ke before turning into a mortal, there will always be more spirits that want an ex ruler dead).
umm so is this a happy ending (spoilers from novel readers) ? they already used the sad route in princess agents so hopefully this will be their romance arc but then the actress's age will make this a longing only sort of drama. i don't mind zero intimacy but i hope a confession and romantic moments can fill in the gaps for them
glad i'm not the only one who noticed. he's a good actor and can act the serious/darker tone we would've liked…
um i clearly said i know the actor has the ability to be darker but is not doing that here and that's the issue. it's either the director wanted a more washed up version or something but it's just not the right portrayal for this character. he's not a strong presence like the fl or even the 2ml. the villain portrayal was perfect but i'm not feeling an attachment to this ml portrayal. not a dig on the actor's ability cz he did well elsewhere just not a good utilisation by the producers

i get the feeling the ML and fang guy are actually in cahoots and he's a double spy for the ML and revenge against the father together. he might even be a hidden child from the dad's childhood relationship but then the chemistry he has with the sister would not make sense so guess not (if they're related, then they can't be together) Also if the FL becomes a mortal then it'll be hard to marry the ML cz she's not a noble or a somebody with an identity so dont lnow how they'll live in the capital (might be the countryside then) AND HOW DID HE LOSE HIS ABILITY TO SEE SPIRITS. i need him to be as OP as her or just slightly less but so far he feels too mundane. I hope he keeps her spiritual energy as a mortal in the end too, otherwise it's sad to lose all her hard work.
fl carrying this drama, i hope she get better ml in her next project
glad i'm not the only one who noticed. he's a good actor and can act the serious/darker tone we would've liked for this ml but he did not and that's the issue. it's either they wanted to water down the character or they focused too much on his puppy characteristic and didn't balance out the rest. i hope he's better post memory loss cz it's not working for him and ruining their chemistry i liked him more in the human realm but his persona in the spirit realm was not up to par
red light (stop)- dark romance basically and toxic as hell so this version of him is red
