pei zhen is the son of uncle pei and ml is the son of the mother. the hatred is probably cz ml always suspected the pei family for framing his father since he's the partner to the company they both founded and like many plots, one will be greedy for power. the mother probably Is the naive type and cz of grief, she remarried the guy who he was "there for her" thus being step families. might've not started with hate but what the ml was "stealing" from the safe was him looking for evidence and the son probably is in the dark so he's just misunderstanding him (I'm still hoping for a future mending cz he doesn't seem too far gone but he might end up siding with his father eventually). the murder mystery game is probably based on the ml's story and a source of closure for him

For a woman who loves control, I can’t beleieve RSB kept that steward around (he obviously has a mind of his own and dares to decide what to do with “court official documents” as he pleases without informing the head. Also, I hope the ml being mistreated in the duke’s mansion isn’t the real problem that’s causing him such dejection cz honestly that would make him weak and that’s not his personality. The fl treated him worse and he managed fine so it has to be a big thing cz it’ll ruin the show otherwise.

ok the vibes are giving 2ml's father aka the uncle partner of the ml's dad as the main villain that the ml is looking for but it seems the mother remarried him so this'll get messy. it's sad when the mother is in the dark to schemes so she ends up with the enemy. it'd be cool if she's actually sacrificed herself by marrying into the family to find out the truth but that's too far fetched and she doesn't seem the type so obviously the ml's the one doing the investigation alone and suspecting the family (hard not to when the heir isn't hiding his true colours so why not suspect the dad).

oh no i was really hoping for a normal second lead couple where the friend's husband isn't a cheater but i guess they're using this trope here. they seemed healthy so far so the change in their story was not necessary but i guess he'll cheat with the junior and her broken heart will be healed by the kind friend of the ml. why? not every ml's friend and fl's friend need to end up together. spoilers also confirm the end couples but i was hoping for a change at least since the other cliche of the dad being framed by his partner might also be used here. classic tropes are nice but not when they're overused.

it's most probably the uncle/partner to the company aka the 2ml's father who basically adopted him out of guilt or cover up. he even told him he can't do anything right now but can grow and gain power to uncover the truth (playing innocent) and that's why he's hesitant to talk to his mother cz he's already suspecting him and the mother seems to still be close to the uncle. I hope the rivalry he has with the 2ml isn't vicious tho and might become brotherly cz he seems like not a bad guy (just trying to take down a rival but not to the point of death or something) so if his dad turns out to be the bad guy and feels remorse after finding out then that'd be nice. I hope he doesn't become the obsessive type towards the fl and stays as reasonable as he was so far

it's a sad waste of actor's talents again. what's with the bad melodramas this year? last summer, dynamite kiss, this one... have the writers lost touch with realistic writing just to bring back classic tropes? those tropes were only loved when utilised properly but otherwise it's a shitty experience like this. make it make sense. childhood friends to lovers, cinderella story, 2nd chance romance aren't to be mistreated this way

I hope the ex isn't his romantic interest nor someone he'll help cz she's annoying both as a person and a professional. the prosecutor is more on par with him tho it's not the kind of vibe they have but who else is better in this drama?

it seems so, I was kinda hopeful after her reaction to his "affair" for something more but I guess they'll play the annoying pests to the leads' relationship under the guise of "love". the tsundere 2ml and the naive 2fl. But I'm more interested with the king's true side. he's not so far gone that the ml would need to cause a coup and take his place but he's not good enough to stay king at the moment so if this to be a fresh drama it'd need the ml to act as an advisor in place of the corrupt minister to wisen up the king (his woman is the one mudding his mind to the influence of the minister) and considering he still cares for the ml a bit it might not be too late to save their relationship. Also the fl's status will not allow a queen position so the ml needs to stay as a prince so she can at least be his wife and not concubine.

anyone else think the uncle is the obvious one behind the mistake and not the father? might even be why he's hesitant to talk to his mom on the phone cz he found out the betrayal and he doesn't want his mother to be hurt. it would honestly be fresh if the father did in fact make a mistake and the ml's struggle is coming to terms with the knowledge of his dad being flawed (his suicide shows it might've just been a mistake not an intentional decrease in the quality of the building to cut costs or something) rather than a malicious relative cz that's an overused trope (although his career was originally to follow in his dad's footsteps and uncover the truth, he's become successful based on his talents so it's ok to be happy and continue) .

not a fan of harem dramas but also the chemistry isn't there, it's majorly palace antics and 70 eps of that will be a headache honestly. I've lost patience after watching alot.

it's in the official recs but it seemed lukewarm on YouTube in terms of romance and the fact that she's more shy rather than outspoken so it seems not as engaging as glory honestly.

thank god it's not the cheating trope for the supporting friend again cz it's so overused. he seems to be a legit guy so far so I hope he stays that way tho is anyone else bothered by her hair? it's kind of bulging in the middle giving megamind vibes, is it a wig? Also, plz tell me the ex does not get married cz the family seems genuine and there is obvious cheating involved. I need spoilers for these 2 men from novel readers plz!!

This is so emotionally invoking and intellectually engaging, plus the chemistry is there and an amount of romance enough for it to not be a subplot yet not the main thing. I love this! Anyone know a similar drama? “The glory” seems to be less on the romance cz the hate was still there when they married and I already watched the prisoner of beauty which was perfect as well!

no worries, u're right that's why I didn't like what the writers did. the whole 3rd life arc till the end had loopholes and stupid decisions (especially her projecting her love for the ml on this man who has a completely different background and set of experience so she was blind to his hate and to the real problems of that time- literally I felt I was losing brain cells the last couple of eps)

or even sealed the fragments at the spring without a body to hold it, that make no sense cz they used to be pearls NOT in bodies so they could've sealed the objects. If a body was so needed then even the 2ml that went on a killing spree would've been a better candidate cz of all the bad karma he got from eating hearts. seriously what was the point of the beasts' death if he gave the fragments to the leads in the end. anyways the script went off the rails by the end and I don't want that for glory cz it's been good so far

does anyone have spoilers from Chinese citizens on wether this is an HE or not? after the disastrous end of unclouded soul and the way the script was botched despite a good start, I don't wish the same fate for this drama

true it seems the only way for him to take action would be this way but the added 2nd lead drama is so unnecessary. the 2fl's reaction to the 2ml's affair was unique and making us hopeful for the initial annoying triangle but he'd eventually fall for 2fl but when the scene for the prince and her came it shattered that and now it's a predictable square with unlikable 2nd leads. 2fl's kindness might've melted the asshole 2ml considering he actually wants to marry for love but now they're just pests interrupting a budding romance and the body swap is not gonna help.

same! I was so pissed cz he's been selfish so far. I know it's alot of traumatic events but it's not like she had ulterior motives and was very sincere with him especially with that delusional woman! what fan would be that respectful towards her, it should've been the first hint not to lose trust once he found out she's a fan. also his actions so far have been VERY de-idolising so the fact she's still with him means she sees him for him.i get that he finally started seeing her as a person but can u blame her for not telling her fan status with the hate he has? I'm kinda not liking him at the moment especially the preview so I hope next week's second episode is better

wow I never knew writers can botch a story this much. the fl's insistence in loving the human hong ye when clearly they're so different and her half assed attempt at fixing the war knowing the devastation in the years to come so the real problem needs serious actions which she finally sees at the very end after so much bloodshed. And then the 3 so called friends' deaths? wtf was that? so unnecessary especially since the asshole ended up giving the fragments to the leads eventually. what was the point of their change if their story ended that way. And pianpian/bingzhu are worst written characters ever. principles? sorry in what way was he in the right? and the 180 at the end just cz his sister is back. 2 words and he's letting the fight go? after all the bloodshed he caused? and worst of all the end where she repeats her life just to see him. sealing himself with the mirror does not help at all cz core problem is the conflict between the races cz one fears the other but suddenly there's peace right now?how? that males no sense. ugh a waste of time and actors' talent.
