Wow, after years of leaving the shoujo world and switching to C-dramas and K-dramas, I'm so happy that the adaptation of Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is finally airing!
For me, it brings a bit of nostalgia from my high school days. I quite like Sakura Chiyo, played by the adorable Shen Yue (even though she looks stronger than the original Chiyo). The production also looks good, with a typical shoujo atmosphere—setting, cinematography, everything. Even the music gives off a Japanese vibe.
Since this is an adaptation, maybe the comedy and jokes don't connect with everyone, and the plot might feel a bit disjointed. Even the school uniforms look more prominent than expected. Up to episode 6, I feel like the original drama script took some inspiration from Tsubaki Izumi’s other work, Oresama Teacher, especially in the “pretending to be a delinquent” part.
If you find the comedy and storyline a bit odd, I suggest watching the anime first to better understand it. It’s such a unique and unusual romantic comedy.
For a lighthearted drama, I can still enjoy it and look forward to the next episodes—for the laughs and their growing friendship.

yes i feel the same, when get serious it end whit comedy and jokes. Some make laugh some make me shocked. Is that to ancipate the sad scene? they give us alot of comedy in the beginning??
From the 3 episode, its more comical than i think. I like the narsistic and naughty Zhou Yanzhou, his presence and jokes unpredictable, and i feel this character suit for Minghao. I can't wait the growth his character.
I expect it gonna be serious and mistery one, (because when will be serious scene, they got end with jokes and comedy) and its just me, the mistery part not so much make me curious what coming next. Maybe its the beginning of the story. Can't wait the growth of the plot.
Its not a problem, but in ep1 why they use the melody of yeseshangqian(SJ-SQ)? i know its kinda a jokes, it sound for them, but they do it in scene the rabbit yao (zhang miaoyi) and wang qingxi :"(

Maybe she acted like that because she already considered he as a friend and to create chemistry between them. Maybe she can restrain herself a little bit, if he looks uncomfort of her act.
I'm afraid if this problem gets bigger, LYX totally limit herself, and make their relationship awkward, and affect their chemistry of the drama.
Let's just hope this problem doesn't affect chemistry between Bozai and Mingyi. Because, I love both of them.

I agree with you, i'm the novel reader. I think when i watch a couple episode, the FL drama is more logic, i want to enjoy for the coming episode.
But when i continue till episode 10, 15, i doubt myself, the plot get stucked. Right now, i'm in 20, and think 'oh because the drama 40 episode, so she knows the truth in the middle of drama?'.
I confuse, should i continue or dropped it?, the execution make me worry, and i feel FL acting is kinda plain (i know she play an elegent women, but her eyes is empty for me), so i don't feel chemistry between FL and ML.
WCR is good if she play a cunning and strong character.ZWY is good actor for a serious role.
