I believe Sam ‘s behaviour during promotions somewhat correlates with the episode that is being aired .. during season 1 promotions he was always joking around or being goofy as season 1 was light and fluffy..

The special episode was sort of disturbing for most of us and we also noticed Sam being low during Valentine’s Day live ..


Season 2 is intense and Sam ‘s behaviour also changed a bit .. he got more serious and also cried ..

Now we are almost close to episode 4 of season 2 and looks like things will get better between deYi couple ..Sam looks really happy and seems to be enjoying the recent promotions..


In conclusion, I feel Sam prepares the audience watching WBL..and Yu just follows his lead..

Please correct me if my opinion is wrong .. I just feel it’s neither fan-service nor true liking .. it’s just going with the flow and being obsessed with WBL just like the fans !

Also regarding the chemistry, most of the BL couples have great bonding off-screen.. so it’s not surprising that SamYu gel well together too !

I came across a BL novel called “ Everyone Thinks That I Like Him “ and read it . It’s a must read for people who like WBL..it’s about forever no 1 and forever no 2 falling slowly in love with each other and everyone around them shipping them like crazy ! Both characters are matured , strong and end up having a an extremely loving and healthy relationship!

I read on some Instagram post that Shu Yi implies that he wants to be the top instead of saying “let’s do it” ..It makes more sense now because I thought Shi de wouldn’t mind sleeping together ....but Shu Yi challenges by changing the dynamics of their relationship ( I know in real world top/ bottom is not clearly defined like the way they show in dramas) Just sharing what I read..

My guess is that Shu Yi’s dad made Shi De feel unworthy of being with his son ..it might be the typical rich / poor stereotype..and in this case same sex relationship thrown into the mix ..

Don’t worry about forced sexual act .. I read an Instagram post ( explained by director ) that says both were in deep emotional pain and drunk ( only Shi de I guess ) and they got caught in the moment and slept together..not surprising consider the sexual tension that was building up from episode 1..

I loved the scene where Shu Yi can’t even remember his fake girlfriend’s name.. it was so funny and sad at the same time ..Shu Yi still loves Shi De so much ( he even eats the food!)

After 2 years , when Shi De goes back to Taiwan , I guess he encounters Shu Yi’s dad and probably made feel unworthy by Shu Yi’s dad .

Shu Yi is a rich heir , once he takes over his dad’s company, he is answerable to stakeholders .. and being in homosexual relationship in Asia is still not widely accepted..so I feel Shi De backs out of the relationship for Shu Yi ‘s career and position in the society and also there is a huge class difference between them which is apparent from S1 .. ( one of the main reasons for insecurity)


However, after 5 years Shi de probably develops Alpha so that he can come into Shu Yi ‘s radar again during acquisition ..

Well written Annia ! In addition to your comment , I hope SamYu end up getting more amazing projects , brand endorsements , commercials etc., I feel they should take advantage of their insanely good chemistry .. best example is BrightWin ( they have created such a good brand with their pairing)

To be honest , even I felt that crying was excessive and that too for a character.. however now I feel maybe it’s because of getting so much recognition especially from international fans .. Sam looks like has been in the industry for quite sometime but now WBL has made him so famous internationally .. so I guess he feels indebted to Shi De ‘s character that made it possible!

The fact that baffles me about most MEN is that they are excellent communicators / negotiators in the corporate world but suck at communicating in relationships!!

I am going to erase the damn special episode from my mind ! For me Shu Yi and Shi de are childhood friends/competitors that fell in love truly as university kids .. got separated for a few years .. worked on their relationship and feelings as adults ..and got back together and lived happily ever after!!

I think it is 8.7 years because 5 years after he went to US + 3.7 years when he was in a different university because we know he transferred to Shu Yi ‘s university for the final semester..so he might be counting total separation in their entire life of knowing each other

In season 2 trailer , Shu Yi holds a box against shi de ‘s mouth ..what do you think is inside that box ?

I guess this more like a teaser .. they must gotten really scared because people started to dislike Shi De and also most them were uncomfortable with the violence.. so they released something soon as a balance to the MV

I guess they have made S2 more dramatic to show the depth of their feelings. ., Shu Yi wears his heart on his sleeve .. when his first love was not reciprocated he showed how deeply he was hurt by jumping into the pool and how long would he have stayed there if he was not rescued ?! In S2 someone whom he trusted and loved immensely ghosted him for several years .. he obviously needs an outlet to express his anger ..he is not capable of pretending to be civil when he is obviously hurting so much .. also he must be hating himself for still being in love with Shi De despite everything.. I personally like the angst that they have introduced because no matter what happens between them their love for each other is strong and remains unchanged!

Only in this instance the punch is justified ..if you watch closely..Shi de held Shu Yi’s hand .. touching your partner after break up is not right ..hence the punch !

I loved the scenes...you fight like that only when you love and care deeply ..otherwise you won’t bother to fight !

Did you understand what Shi De says in the first scene of the Mv when. Shu Yi is asleep?

First few episodes they made it seem like Shi De going to US was a permanent move..but in episode 6 mom said she will send him back soon..mom also seems so supportive and likes Shu Yi .. so I cannot accept that she or her problems made Shi de stay back permanently in the US ...so I feel long distance relationship problems were the cause of breakup ..
