Everyone that I know who watched the animation love Xiao Wu. I'm sure you'll love her too. Rong Rong is a spoiled princess. Even in the animation. Her attitude was not the best but she grew out of it and learned how to respect others. She still acts all spoiled around her family but who wouldn't? I really love her and Xiao Ao's (Oscar) relationship.

She was not annoying at all in the animation. Her character is so much more mature than the one in the drama. It's funny because in the animation, she started off as a 6 years old but she doesn’t act like the annoying and miss knows it all drama version. I highly, highly recommend the animation. All the characters are way more mature and their friendship and mutual understanding are really great. One of the best Chinese animation to date.

Not all platforms have subbers. Youku and MangoTV are not targeted at international audiences. So most of the time, there are no subtitle or subtitles are incorrect. This is the first drama that I see YouKu willingly giving subtitles to without anyone asking. Probably because of the huge BL fans out there.

I usually watch the drama myself to see if it's good or not. Especially if there is a very popular actor/actress in it. Usually those ones are over-hyped by fans only.

Honesty, this is the reasons why some actors and actresses never improve their acting. It's because their fans love everything they do.

I find her super annoying too. She is a way, way better character in the animation.

They didn't really show it in the drama.

In the novel, Teng She was also not at the wedding. It wasn't until way later when Xuanji is pregnant that he showed up at her door asking for food.

The merman also didn't show up in the novel. He asked someone else to deliver the pearls. I read it a long time ago so I don't remember the details but I believe it was because he too was in love with Xuanji.

There are lots of twists in this drama. You just need to continue to see. Ep 28 is just the starting point of their real story...but if you don't like it then probably you just don't.

Yes. From his first life to his second life, it's all about reviving Tang Sect. Like he said, he is nothing without Tang Sect and he is everything because of it.

Yes, I totally agree with you. He has a calm personality because this is his second life. Not because he is a robot or a boring person. After already once living a full life of having to prove his wroth, it's makes a lot of sense why he is much more mature.

It's not fair to make a judgment when you haven't even watched the animation version. Before judging, you should watch first to understand why he is so much more smarter than the drama version. Is he a robot? No. Is he boring? No. To me, his character in the animation has more depth than the drama version. But yes, this is my own personal opinions after watching both versions.

Yep. So very disappointed. Literally, no one is cool at all in the drama version. Not even Tan Sang.

When comparing to her character in the animation version, she is quite annoying in the drama. The actress just needs to stop acting like a 6 years old girl.

The drama didn't start off with them being 6 years old so why is female lead acting like a 6 years old!!!? She is annoying and so different from the cool Xiao Wu that I loved. They changed so much and the fact that there is no mention of Tang Sect, just pretty much ruined the purpose of Tang San's life goal. The drama is no match for the animation. I'm sticking to the animation and dropping this.

But I also understand that the novel is not for everyone. Some stuffs are just way too uncomfortable.

It's truly a good novel and when you find out what really happened, it'll hit you hard. The novel is full of twists and turns and MoRan's (ML's) character has so much growth. He will redeem himself. Yes, I know his character at the beginning is awful but he will redeem himself and pay for everything that he did. This is the first novel that I cried so much. It's really good and that is why I have very low expectations of the drama...because I don't want to be disappointed.
