Bai Lu should play the FL. Bai Lu with Cheng Yi = perfect!
I saw Happy Camper and I thought Cheng Yi had a better chemistry with Zhao Lusi than Bai Lu. Bai Lu didn't really care much for her role with Cheng Yi. Hahaha
So I am on ep 15. My biggest confusion is.... WHY does the ML love her?I mean so far what I can understand is:…
The drama didn't do a good explanation of it but if you read the novel, you'll understand. ML is an immortal and the first time he met FL, she died in front of him during that hitting drum. It sort of showed a bit towards the end of the drama but it didn't explain it well enough. The editing was so bad.
Anyhow, ML didn't try to save her because he is a God and he couldn't interfere with human lives. So he just wacthed her died. In the novel, he later met her again but she also died tragically. She was a weak girl but she was always fighting to survive. He became intrigued by her so each life time he continued to secretly watched her and each lifetime, he couldn't do anything but watched her die tragically. Finally, the 11th lifetime, he thought that she will finally be happy because she is now a princess. However, her whole family died. That was when he finally decided that he will not stand and watch it anymore. He wanted her to have at least one happy life.
In the drama, he was most regretful that he let her died without saving her during that drum part.
The original story is written by the same author that wrote Love and Redemption. This drama could have been a great drama if the production team were the same as Love and Redemption. Unfortunately, it wasn't. Just such a waste that this great story was ruined by horribly editing and a not strong enough script. Love all the actors and actresses. I want a remake with all the actors and actresses but a better production team and better script writer.
so, what happen into the final ending ?? sad ?? bad ?? for both female and male leads ?
For the second couple, it's a sad ending because Xuan Zhu sacrificed herself. The novel is even more sad because Zuo Zi Chen erased all his memories of her.
Confusing right? I guess its supposed to be happy ending as they are both inside the painting together, doesnt…
It's a happy ending. Fu Jiu Yun casted a dream spell to place her in the lamp so that she could live happily while she waited for him. The painting is where he usually goes to recover so at the end, they both met there. It's not a sad ending at all. Fu Jiu Yun just wanted her to be happy and like he promised, he was constantly there with her. The dreams that she had while inside the dream world were him. He wanted her to be happy even though he also wanted to be with her. Even at the end, he still gave her a choice: to remember him or not. Since she remembered him, he took her out of the dream world.
This drama is quite funny. 8 episodes in and I still can't stop laughing. Finally, Jason Koo found a character that fits him so wonderfully. His acting improved so much since "Oh! My Emperor." Also really love FL's characters. Super funny. Hopefully it won't go downhill later on.
Looking at your watch list, you seem to have a preference for a BG romance between the leads, and if that's the…
Yes. I heard him said 3 years. What I meant was that he was probably saying that even after 3 years, the king will be the same.
I'm not talking about the subtitles but the little words at the top right that said 3 months later in Chinese.
I don't think they could make that mistake and not fix it before airing. Regardless, I think the more we watch, the more we will know if it's really 3 months or 3 years.

I can read Chinese and it said 3 months later when the boat scene showed up. I think Zhou Zi Shu was just saying that 3 years later, the King will still be the same. I'm pretty positive it's only 3 months and not three years.
The filming of this drama took like 3 months or less so I was a bit worried that it would not be good. Boy was I wrong. 7 episodes in and really liking it! This is the best acting I've see from Zhang Zhe Han. Love the chemistry between his character and Simon's character. I'm so surprised that all those flirting and touching passed censorship but I'm not complaining. I hope it continues!
The merman also didn't show up in the novel. He asked someone else to deliver the pearls. I read it a long time…
I read the novel awhile ago so I don't remember all the details but Ting Nu was a doctor so he would often treat the God of War and that was how he fell in love with her.
