I love the novel of "The Blue Whisper" and the drama basically ruined both FL and ML personalities. They also changed a lot of things that made no senses. Like the Demon Masters take the demons' cores instead of training them. If you read cultivation novels, you know that you can't take a demon's core because that's basically killing them. But yet in the drama, the demons are not dead. 😅 Also, ML got legs in ep 2. 😅 His fish tail turned into legs on dry land like every mermaid stories. 😂 Although the drama did do a good job with his tail. They also turned FL invisible friends into an annoying knows it all butterfly. Honestly, I would say, stay away from the drama unless you want to get angry. 😂🤣

I think you should watch it and then decide for yourself if you should continue or not. I love the novel too so I was very afraid to watch this after they messed up "The Blue Whisper." I am actually really liking this drama a lot. They changed a lot of things so it's really not the same story anymore. I feel like they did keep FL personality from the novel. ML's personality is a bit different because of the different circumstances. He wasn't a true born devil like in the novel but he practiced a forbidden arts and turned into a devil. I guess I don't mind all the changes because everything else in the drama ia so well done. Beautiful CGIs and beautiful music. This is probably the best visually stunning C drama ever.

No. Chidi woman is the God of War. Xisha Priestess is from Xilan clan. Xilan is neutral between the 3 realms. Their responsibility is to make sure the Evil Gods(Evil Immortals) don't disrupt the 3 realms.

Love Jiu Lu Fei Xiang's novels but so far, haven't fully like any of the adapted dramas. "The Legend" is probably the best for me but even so, I didn't like the drama as a whole.

No it is not. It's quite different. I read both novels. Not related in any way. But who knows what the drama version would do to it. Absolutely love this novel so very scared that the drama won't do it justice. Most of the time they change the drama way too much.

Yes, it's true. I saw that it was based on a BG novel and thought that the production team bought legal rights from the author, but apparently they didn't. That's why season one was taken off YouTube. Season 2 is filming now and as long as they come up with their original story or buy the rights from the author, everything should be okay.

Hugs. I completely feel you. Yes. When you read a novel and care for it so much, it's really sad to see all the unnecessary changes when it becomes a drama. I'm always happy when I hear about novels I love being adapted into live action...but then would become very disappointed when I see the results. I came to a realization that animation adaptions are always 10 times better than live action because of the crazy censorship in China. So now, I tend to care more about animation adaptions than live action adaptions. Hugs again. Know that you're not alone with that feeling. I'm in the same boat. 😑😑😑 This is also why I haven't been able to finish much dramas in the last few years. They're all the same without much uniqueness.
