Apart from the bad CGI, some editing issues and couple production problem here and there, most complains about…
Is it so simple? I have watched my fair share of wuxia, and I find it hard to say this is 100% pure wuxia. Usually, the fights have some reasons. Natural enemy. Treasure. Or fulfilling the duty of "Xia". However, I can't say clearly that this is the case. Fei starts with some idea of being a "xia". See something bad walking pass, you help (路見不平拔刀相助)- but eventually, the drama dissolves into some mix of romance and treasure hunt that no one knows what the treasure is. The treasure is "nothing but greed"? Vague. I have never read the novel, and I highly suspect the original story is truer to wuxia. But I think the heart must be lost in translation (or more accurately adaptation). Because the feeling of "xia" is pretty weak as the show progresses. I mean, at some point, one of the good characters literally say out loud moral and duty don't matter... (that character has good reasons to say it, but it just reads off for wuxia...)

Side note: my favorite side arc is Yin Pei.
