ZHANG XILING aka our fav XIAOGE'S fate really is so heart-breaking.....we got to know him from all the adaptations lil by lil and finally the full background in the adventure behind the bronze door, he really is a pure hearted soul. haha... DMBJ world is a spiraling headache even for devout fans but if you wanna get a somewhat better picture of this world u should watch all the series in a sequence as mentioned above & below by many commentors.

it's not about the drama, it's about the DMBJ world itself.... going on since the first series...that's why the hype :)

so basically the plot has 4 main elements: street fight, killing, drugs, kidnapping
kidnapping and killing here is so comical & easy, that it can't even compare to other thriller shows :))

any recommendations for dramas like the guest without romance? can be of any country korean, american, japanese, thai, indian,...etc?(already watched revenant)

It's just a low budget drama with vertical short drama actors, so most of the things are not
upto the mark or comparable with other dramas yet still somewhat decent....people are hyping it mostly cz its from China...and things u said about the ML that's just his character and readers have already said that in the novel he's much more toxic, they have already toned it down in the drama. And the chemistry between all the actors is pretty good. And ofcourse the FACECARDS ;))

say was Wu Suowei always so clever or suddenly got too smart after trying to trap Chi Cheng??
Lol in the first episode they showed him like an hopeless idiot when he was with Yue Yue...now look at him so scheming....haha
