Good on her, for whatever reason she did it, what's important is that some people get to stay warm thanks to IU. Not a fan of hers but more should follow her lead. Spread the wealth a bit.
Gwang Hee is such a POS, and the girls are totally stupid for falling for such a prick, can't believe it. Everything he says is a lie, he's a mega narcissist, like so many in Korea. Jin Seok on the other hand - definitely boyfriend material. Min Woo way too shy, Min Kyu a bit too shy also. The girls are pretty but that's about it. Ha Jeong and Hye Seon are the smartest but considering they've fallen for the narcissist snake - maybe not so smart. Si Eun is mean and narcissist also, Min Young is just too silly, Min Ji - the female Gwang Hee but not as bad. Gyu Ri is more mature and much more hard to get, I kinda like her the most. Overall, it's a good exercise if you want to have a peak into the mind of young Koreans. Very superficial, obsessed with looks, emotionally undeveloped is what I saw, for the most part.
South Korea really made themselves look terrible in the eyes of drama fans. Which is the exact opposite of what they're trying to project. Unfortunately people have short memory so they'll go back to worshipping k-culture in no time.
Apples and oranges, spin it however you wish but a country with the highest suicide rate and the lowest birthrate in the world is definitely broken. Korea is full of bullies and narcissists, if you live there as you pretend - you should have noticed it.
I have finally watched it and only because of SSK, otherwise I would have skipped it. LJK was good as Eunsom but not very convincing as Saya. The queen and king roles were well played, especially the queen. SSK had a very "limiting" role and did her best with it, unfortunately it wasn't very "offering ". The rest of the characters were pretty silly, and overall the drama looked pretty low-budget, from the costumes, fight scenes and the cheap-looking CGI. 7/10 and that's being generous.
I really don't get all the (ultra) negative comments. Park Bo Young is at her best, as always - funny, quirky, cute, feisty. The ML might be a bit annoying, and there's a bit much of filler (they had to fit advertisements for all the sponsors), but the story is interesting, the cast is good for the most part, there's drama, comedy, romance. 8/10 for me, kept me entertained for most of the time. Heck, although I don't like Han So Hee, she made me reconsider and now I tolerate her 😄
Absolutely heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. Really good dynamic between friends, looked very realistic. Da Mi is already a great actress, and I am sure she will be a top actress in Korea
