Agree with everything you said. I'm glad the girls are more involved. Also Chicken Fei has become integral part of their team and also mostly for comic relief.

I also like the coroner's death story despite it's being super sad. Yes, the actress playing the mother is phenomenal. Even the child actors in the last case were great as well. I think the guest stars also act really well in this season (same as last season)

Jiang Sheng Hao is great. It's interesting that the couple's friends are also couple but of the opposite genders unlike the usual tropes.

I haven't watched the Taiwanese version either which I heard is also great.
