I love the cat and mouse game between the three characters in the first 10 episodes but later parts actually bore me. I think I watched up to 18 then watched later episodes occasionally when my mom was watching. I just felt like the constant Yue Luo attack is so terrible and felt like dragging, perhaps it's just me as I don't like the siege and long wars much. I did watch the latter episodes and Madame Rongguo's plan to topple the emperor was just silly. Did they not have enough backup? Characters seemed to be dumbed down for plots to happen. Also the ending, my mom and I thought he could just run and closed the door. It was so unnecessary death as it was not written well.
I did enjoy your reviews as usual. Ciang Ji deserved better.
