Thanks for the summary of Cheng Yi's biography and filmography.
I didn't even know this article exist until I used Duck Duck Go and entered Cheng Yi.
I noticed him because of "Mysterious Lotus Casebook" as his portrayal as Li Xiang Yi and Li Lian Hua is phenomenal. Started to watch his other shows but because he tends to be in xianxia or playing tragic characters, the choices are limited, except "Draw the Line" I guess. I'm slowly watching "Stand by Me".
I am in the beginning of 16 when Chen Du Ling appears. You are not the only one, the cases are not exciting and I can guess the killers from case 2 onwards because there really are not enough characters to be the suspects for each case.
The saving grace is the acting, cinematography, and choreography.
Like many others, it's from episode one for me too, and it grows on me even more after DFS appears. Granted, after…
Yes, they are really sweet indeed.
No worries.
Oops, I used my phone and apparently it autocorrected without me realizing it. Yes, it's supposed to be Xiao Bao, not Xiao Nap, LMAO. I already edited the original post.
Yeah he is a really good actor. He actually did a better Guo Jing than Hu Ge did (don't kill me!)
He definitely is a good actor. I still can't really differentiate serious or idol drama. Is that dramas with good looking actors which barely can act and mostly focus on romance? If that's the case, I don't watch idol drama.
Finished! No need to say more than what's been already said, so I'll only repeat that it is indeed one of the…
How about "The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty? I heard it's also good mystery and friendship show. I haven't finished it because I found the main character annoying 🤣
Others are already recommended by others such as "Ancient Detective" and "League of Nobleman". "Under the Skin"and "Medical Examiner Dr Qin" are also very good.

Yes, a pity that Yang Kang didn't redeem himself till the end.
I haven't watched "Demi Gods and Semi Devils" properly, only watched the initial episodes of the 2000 version but I get that Kiu Feng is not totally black and white character and has nuances.
I haven't watched "The Deer and The Cauldron" yet.
Also Huang Rong is very great. People wonder what she sees in Guo Jing 😊

I love Guo Jing as he is so straightforward and naïve but yes, I think he is too 2 dimensional in that sense. Which Jin Yong's characters do you like?
I guess Hu Ge has the face of smart characters 🤣
I checked out his Guo Jing after Strange Tales and Love in Time as I really like his acting. I think he could pull off a better Yang Kang than that 2017 version.

Lol, I haven't watched the Hu Ge version but I did watch 2017 version as I heard it's the second best after the original 1983 version. I think YXW indeed did capture Guo Jing's naivety well.

Seems to be the case.

Yes, I think we need to switch off our brains to be able to stomach idol dramas.
🤣 I just imagine if Yang Kang is paired with Huang Yong. I think they will be an unbeatable couple.
