Yeah he is a really good actor. He actually did a better Guo Jing than Hu Ge did (don't kill me!)
Yeah, I still need to wait for a good Demi Gods adaptation so I can watch it properly.

🤣 I just imagine if Yang Kang is paired with Huang Yong. I think they will be an unbeatable couple.

Like many others, it's from episode one for me too, and it grows on me even more after DFS appears. Granted, after…
Fang Xiabao is his nickname as Xiao Bao means little treasure. LLH called him Xiao Bao which means he cherished him.

Finished! No need to say more than what's been already said, so I'll only repeat that it is indeed one of the…
How about "The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty? I heard it's also good mystery and friendship show. I haven't finished it because I found the main character annoying 🤣

Others are already recommended by others such as "Ancient Detective" and "League of Nobleman". "Under the Skin"and "Medical Examiner Dr Qin" are also very good.

Yes, a pity that Yang Kang didn't redeem himself till the end.

I haven't watched "Demi Gods and Semi Devils" properly, only watched the initial episodes of the 2000 version but I get that Kiu Feng is not totally black and white character and has nuances.

I haven't watched "The Deer and The Cauldron" yet.

Also Huang Rong is very great. People wonder what she sees in Guo Jing 😊

He was in the 2017 version with Li Yi Tong as Huang Rong. Yes, he still lives totally because of Huang Rong 🤣

I love Guo Jing as he is so straightforward and naïve but yes, I think he is too 2 dimensional in that sense. Which Jin Yong's characters do you like?

I guess Hu Ge has the face of smart characters 🤣

I checked out his Guo Jing after Strange Tales and Love in Time as I really like his acting.
I think he could pull off a better Yang Kang than that 2017 version.

Lol, I haven't watched the Hu Ge version but I did watch 2017 version as I heard it's the second best after the original 1983 version. I think YXW indeed did capture Guo Jing's naivety well.

Title Deep Lurk
Based on sypnopsis.. isn't CY supposed to be Yun Hong Shen? Wen Ye Ming is a girl right?
Yes, I think they reverse the names here. Need someone to edit them.

Title A Journey to Love Spoiler
No!
If MLCB refers to Mysterious Lotus Casebook then yes, please watch it. It has great dynamics between characters and is also a detective story.
The ending is open ending but I think it's much better than the ending for this show which destroys all the happiness the fans had previously.

It is 8.7 at Douban. So rare for historical drama rare that high there.
Indeed. I think because it contains a lot of philosophy and life lessons as well besides the engaging plots. The characters and their dynamics are also excellent.

Possibly if Van Gulik was the one writing it because he wrote after Arthur Conan Doyle but someone please correct…
Yes, that seems to be the case about "borrowing".

Not really. The only thing they have in common is solving different cases. But it's still a pleasant watch.
STOTD is great. We are looking forward to Season 2.

Yeah, all those shows have better team dynamic that this show and it has a lot of humors. Not that this one is not good, but it lacks the humors from those other shows.

Possibly if Van Gulik was the one writing it because he wrote after Arthur Conan Doyle but someone please correct me if I'm wrong as I just looked based on the year, not the real history.

Yes, I do follow the episodes but it has not hooked me through like some other Chinese ancient detective shows…
No worries.

Indeed. Although I also watched it when it has stopped airing so I was late to the party as well.

Have you watched "Mysterious Lotus Casebook"? That one was not based on real history events but it's really good as well.

Cao An to Di RenJie so far feels a bit like the ‘Irene Adler’ to Sherlock Holmes. Not sure if she is a friend…
Indeed.

Any version of Irene is fine. I know some people don't like BBC Sherlock's Irene but I think she is great there too.
