They shouldnt tell their story at first, and 1st sister story made people lose the interest, i think before Haode…
I agree with you that 3rd sister storyline could have been penned stronger. I strongly believe had the drama started shooting after The Double success things would have been different.
A couple of days ago I stumbled upon that video on youtube (link below) and some article in that sense stating that WXY and to some extent LYX fans were not happy with YuZheng cause they feel he wasted them. Apparently drama lost advertisements because WXY was non existent in the latest episodes (when he used that pair a lot for promotion) and seeing how solidly scripted the 4th sister arc was some are assuming that actually PM was a way to promote Liang Yong Qi (who is a good actor let's be honest so deserving of the promotion if you ask me) and Keying on the back of the more popular actors. That sentiment was even more strengthened whithin WXY and LYX fans' minds when both actors admitted that an offline promo of PM was scheduled and everyone was notified about it except for them WXY and LYX. Looking at their expressions in the video they were disappointed. Tbh that is disrespectful of YZ. Therefore it is most probably the reason why the drama started losing viewership again even though the 4th sister arc garnered so many positive receptions. Might go back up cause of NCT fans. At first I thought they were overacting but I was looking at Datawin latest number and PM is on 2nd place popularity index behind six sisters, with Chai An character contributing 35% and Kang Ning 23% when those two have completely disappeared now. If this is true what a shame. To be frank 3rd sister plot was not solid at all. Even 1st sister arc showed stronger motivations behind the characters actions even though it was frustrating. What do you think ?
It seems people over there at BiliBili are really really digging LeShan and Yang Xian story arc introduction. I see some activities around yesterday episodes and the trailers.
I feel like dramas like "Perfect Match" or "Joy Of Life 2" are the kind that starts off rocky but ends on a very strong note. I think it really started and level up during the trial between Du Yan Xi against his father and how the latter got exposed, which enabled the introduction of judge Shen Da Ren around ep 18 and 19. Meanwhile other Cdramas tend to start off strong but regress by the end of the first half.
