I think those long years of playing challenging supporting roles are paying. Another "supporting" actor I can see as great in a male lead role (if he gets one), among the younger gen is Wang You Shuo. Couldn't believe it was the same actor playing in "Young blood" and "Legend of Yinxi". But cdramaland being filled with that idol-vibe nowadays I wish for him to get a role in a mature production like this one here or Joy of life.

FirstThe acting (which is great all around but gotta focus on the OTP) : ZZY is a queen hate it or love it. Must of the popular young actresses today need to sit down and take note. Mary Sue character ? Ok here is a Mary Sue well done. The class and the elegance Mrs Ziyi is showing here is on another level. She makes 40's the new 20's. Who can blame all of those men falling for her ? Nobody. Now Zhou -freaking- Yi Wei. Zhou Yi Wei. Only writting his name and I don't know where to start. This guy shows how beauty comes from within. I see a man who really loves his craft and ZZY saw it. I mean normally a guy like Tony Yang (our football player Zidan) would have get the male lead role but it went to Zhou who has been mostly casted as supporting before. And I inderstand why. Those eyes speak volume. They are so warm but those years of acting villain/shady roles have made him prone to be able to perform the fierce/deadly side of his character. This guy is a revelation. His voice... mameh so soft ! Whenever I hear him speak I shake. He is... laaadjila where is my Xiao Qi ? His acting is great. Guys I am in love. Save me
