Agree usually I feel nothing for cdramas pairing cause in most cases female leads are just annoying and lack depth even their characters are not antagonistic (this is a shallow kind of nice). ZZY with her experience and type of beauty manage to make the FL someone you want to be. As I said this is a "Mary Sue" well done. Her type of beauty is not cute (this new gen of popular Cactresses are more the cute type) but sensual (look at her stance and grace). Zhou Yi Wei is the mature type as well and it helps that as an actor he played a lot of threatning roles. It has helped his presence have some spice and sex appeal which a lot of ML in the new gen lack (the one I see that can have his presence latter on are Wang You Shuo, Wang Rou Zue). His big eyes and soft voice are good tools for him to become a good character. So when a graceful, sensual experienced actress pair with a spicy charismatic manly actor it gives you a lot of s.x appeal instead of to two dolls looking at each other. This type of chemistry I feels it between Fan Xian and SiLiLi in Joy of Life. A lot of sensuality and spice btw them.
