The last episode of Love was a great way to end the show. Loved the montage of the past clients showing their form of love.
Overall, I really enjoyed it and the cases were interesting. Romance? Well it was there for the 2nd couple (they cute) but more like almost slight romance for the main leads. Though I was cheering for their romance, the lack of made realistic sense.
1. Mentor and mentee relationship (Inappropiate but could happen if either were pro-active but they still maintained the respect and power dynamics between them) 2. Time! FL and ML haven't really spent meaningful 1 on 1 with each other than twins babysitting x 2, and the app match. Even then if you include work, ML didn't really attend the after work drinks until the last bit of the drama.
Came for the romance but was surprised how much I liked the cases. Just because I watched for the romance, I'm not petty to give it low rating just because it lacks it.
On another note, the romance tag in general should be broken down into something like main leads and second leads to reduce people's confusion...
That romance tag NEEDS to be removed. Other than that it was an ok introspective drama through the different stories, but unfortunately this wasn't my cup of tea.
Even though I'm all for romance, its gonna be kinda weird if they put in s2 as its like on the other end of the spectrum off the vibes from s1, and might feel forced...
Super cute and despite being in all these mini dramas shes got the talent. She just needs someone to give her a chance on typical standard dramas or even at least the 10-15min ones...
Like others have said its a good watch until they get married. After that it starts to turn to sour with all the shenanigans in creating a rift between the leads and the usual trope you would expect happening. This is what happens unfortunately when marriage happens just after halfway for dramas...
Overall I like it, strong visuals and pretty good acting. I've had enough of the ML actor in these 30min dramas. I think he got the chops to actually be a ML for the standard length cdramas...
So I've binged 8 episodes, and just not feeling it. It's lacking that oomf that makes a drama good. I know the ML is the focal point of the story, but I kinda feel like the FL character is flat and written poorly. Anyways this is one of those dramas that since you started you might as well finish..
I knew there wasn't gonna be much romance given its like daily life of lawyers. So even with those low expectations with the main couple, I'm glad Sang Gi's romance storyline was present and had satisfactorily filled my romance tank for this drama... Not just his romance but overall I liked his character and his storylines the most!
Even though i mainly watched romance, it was still enjoyable to watch.
Pretty good action drama close to great but felt like something was missing to make it great...
How they started off the first episode was good imo, was a solid hook and was interested. After this sequence it felt more like a family drama which was surprising BUT was pleasant as it helped the cohesion of niece-uncle relationship. The issue with this flashback was that we had to watch the opening scene repeated again with no extra context so it really felt draggy even if it was for like 2-3 mins. The other flashbacks were tolerable as we saw the events that led up to the current situation..
Plot wise: I thought it was a pretty well thought out and portrayed. We got a problem and we got a solution for our FL. But like others have said, this seems like a prelude and thank god theres a 2nd season. Because you introduce this super antagonist hype him up as so great, only for him to not appear (probably saved him for S2)...
Characters: Besides the main cast, the supporting allies got their story told just enough that audiences were able to understand them and they weren't just ally #1, ally #2, etc... Also the character who was annoying and has a punch-able face for no reason ( no offence :P) was written like that for a reason, and was very satisfied with how he ended up.
Overall, I liked it more than i thought. Interest was well managed throughout the series with a strong start, then mellowed out in the middle, and then picked back up at the end. Definitely over-rated but not by a massive amount.
I'm not even sure to think. I actually liked it but can't really say its good since you end up with more questions than when you started with the drama (even with reading recaps).
Seeing as its a webtoon adaption it kinda makes with this as a result, and I would hope the webtoon would hopefully make more sense, but honestly its not worth my further interest...
Only watched it to see the payoff of ML's identity revealed. Didn't care for the plot but my only dislike is that the ML has way too many women chasing after him....
This would be classified as slop, but i would have enjoyed more in my pre-teen anime/mange phase.....
Was just good meh for me , but I actually liked it more than i would typically due Zhang Yu Xi's character, as she was NOT any of the following: - not the stereotypical celebrity - incompetent spoiled whiny immature princess or out of touch personality - constantly needed saving (ML did save here during the drama but wasn't a constant trope) - total infatuation with ML where she becomes a ditz
I noticed most of her romance dramas in modern settings fall within these tropes (like most cdramas) but I hope her future roles are like this one.
Very surprisingly not bad and almost decent, if compared to similiar in the same genre. I admit i sometimes read face slapping martial arts slop like this in either manhua or light novel form. But whenever this slop gets converted into a drama, its 99% pretty bad because something that is only slightly cringy gets amped up so much its way too cringy to watch.
Character wise, ML was actually likeable in the sense that he was confident but not full of himself, and super respectful towards the FL. Despite the FL needed saving from the ML pretty much all the time (can't expect any different for this genre) she didn't act helpless, if that makes sense. For here damsel in distress character, she was very tolerable.
Casting was surprisingly better than expected, since usually if your not the FL, the role is given to someone who is objectively not as pretty (No offence). But in this case all of the supporting female characters were equally as pretty to be leads in their own respective dramas. ML had good acting and pretty handsome that matches the masculine character. Shoutout to the antagonist son character though, he actually looks like a spoiled asshole character.
Episode length of about 12-15ish minutes was perfect as it wasn't too draggy.
So in summary, the scales leaned more towards somewhat good slop.
Better than expected and imo has a better story than Brewing Love. It scratched my romance itch, and I just love the FL best friend hilarious character.
Decent spinoff from the original lakorn. Tbh wasn't really a fan that they made the ML into here not the nice guy and have antagonist thoughts towards a character, but at least they made the FL less annoying for the cdrama. Slap and kiss is one of those genres where I'm not really fond of, but it helps when both the leads are hot...so it was manageable. Kinda got lost with the plot as I skimmed this in 2 hrs. Even though each ep. was 18 mins, I still felt the normal cdrama fatigue that you get from a normal length 45-1hr length.
Overall, it was nice eye candy and chemistry. Great kisses, not good enough to rewatch imo.
Not really. Yes in that they love each other and have no more obstacles. No in that the ML leaves the FL to find himself, and the FL is waiting for ML to return.
Eh. Revenge accomplished, romance sacrificed. That "push" at the end was totally unnecessary. Binge skimmed this in 6 hrs (thank god for recaps), overall was kinda satisfying revenge. For once I actually enjoyed the antagonist's punishment since it wasn't the typical you see in all revenge dramas. It was fitting.
Slightly above average. Very nice that the ML is actually a handsome dude. Nice to see, a generally healthy family relationship of the main cast and their helpers. Actually liked the 2nd FL due to redemption! Basically I liked the characters (except the antagonist ofc).
Story wise is meh, but they really shouldn't fake a super common trope (if you know, you know ) in the LAST episode. Not mad, just disappointed.
Tbh the eye candy of the hot ex, and the ML kept me going instead of the plot. :3
