Ngl I'm kind of tired of this notion that OWLs need to 'stop being so cautious', although I can acknowledge that…
Same, I stated a couple of weeks ago that I found Ayaka's behaviour annoying when she just declared her feelings in the work place despite being told of what Hiroko had experienced in the same said workplace. The 'the world is different' attitude of younger generations may be ok in the clubs and bars but workspaces will always change more slowly. This was shown in the views of the older male worker who tried to show change but ultimately thinks women should play traditional hetero-normative roles.
Also it's not consistent. Ayaka's character is of the generation that if someone rejects you or lies to you then you move on gracefully and not push it. But she was aggressive in her pursuit and refused to acknowledge Hiroko's experience or feelings as reason enough to tell her no. We see it a lot in BLs too and it's not acceptable. People come from different families, times and spaces. Their feelings are just as valid and not necessarily 'wrong'.
Overall I enjoyed it but this felt like an oversight by the writer and I would have liked it better if the bar friends had convinced Hiroko to take a chance on her feelings , not Ayaka.
Also the Crush woman, Risa WAAAAAY overstepped in her role of Crusher.
"she is too young to be this jaded and negative" that's a fairly generalized statement isn't it? We haven't had…
This is way too western liberal for me. She's not one of the main characters so why would we be delving into her 'whys'? It's obvious she's been the victim of bullying etc. but again, I want to see his story.
People can be whatever they choose but when they project that onto others (and BOTH main characters) without knowing them isn't she doing exactly what you're accusing me of? Generalising.
As a plot twist they've given it enough time and energy. Once again we have a female character in BLs who is not nuanced so I'm not going to waste time delving. Oh and the manga reveals a lot but nobody likes a 'read the manga' bore.
Maya's wild boar analogy is actually inaccurate. Whilst I understand her character she is too young to be this jaded and negative. I would maybe expect this level of fear mongering from his parent but not a junior. She's not judging Taichi on how he makes Kohei feel. Only on how she thinks he may hurt him in the future or get bored of him.
They need to wrap up / minimise her involvement. She's a junior who needs to face her own demons instead of projecting onto Kohei
Nadao bangkok would be perfect but the studio doesn't exist anymore. One31 could be good candidate, but NOT GMMTV…
I agree One31 could deliver if they condensed the separations. I also have little interest in parental redemption stories so would skip over those bits!
Knew I made the right decision, based on today’s comments, to drop the show, not just because of the casting…
book 2 was too fantastical and they were separate for the majority of it so hard to make a BL but, it would be nice to see book 2. This all feels like 2moons being repeated all the time
