Funny, I dropped it ages ago but something made me pick it up and I actually love it. Where did you drop it? Get through the early crap and it gets better

Loved the main couple so much that I've rewatched but the other two couples didn't add much of value to me. Maybe the younger one was comedic but that was it. The women in the other couples were annoying and one was mean.

I think it was consent as although he was drugged they a) showed him throw up and therefore get some of it out of his system and b) he was able to take charge at places and urge Kinn on so I'm kinda happy they didn't follow the book.
