Just finished and I’m coming in hot; I have never hated a side couple more in a series. I nearly dropped this…
I couldn't stand the side couple at all. I actually preferred the SFM and their story to this. That 'cute, gamine Chinese doll thing has to end. So annoying. And yeah, give us proper BL not this bromance nonsense.
IF they have left out the moody acting fiancee and the evil father / half brother storylines this could have been half decent. Just focus on the enemies to lovers story, the agoraphobia and possibly him going to England. That's enough in 8 episodes. HEAVY SIGH . This was poor scripting for a short drama
The more I watch this show the more I am sure that opinion - I like that they used fem guys to humanize them because…
Reading through and watching I think the disappointment is that Toh and his crew aren't very nuanced and are a bit 2D but, for me, that's nearly all BL tropes from seme /uke to bully to lovers etc. It's a little flat so I guess I wasn't expecting more from this. The whole show is addictively cringey and OTT so of course they would be too.
What I can say is that I found their friendship comedic as opposed to the characters themselves which is quite different. I find Toh somewhat annoying in his stalking but they all just accept his as he is so that's cool. And as others have said them not being the side characters for comedic value only.
I think BLs are getting more nuanced in their stories and some characters are challenging more of the typical LGBTQ+ stereotypes (Lovely Writer, Bad Buddy, Not Me, KinnPorsche) but we do still have a long way to go before we completely smash the tropes.
Does Ha Ri end up with her own love story or is this just about the main couple finding love? Someone please spoiler it for me . I don't want to waste 15 more hours
I totally feel like she chose the wrong man so I'm not as invested now. I mean, the dude loved her loved her. But then I didn't like the FL much so, maybe he deserved better
Mix played this really well as I really couldn't stand the tantrums and outbursty Win. I like how EarthMix chose socioeconomic / spiritual based storylines instead of your standard BL in college stories. I would love one that didn't involve body part or body swaps though :D
The story started with so much potential but ruined in the end. If you are thinking of watching it or not then…
Maybe you missed it but episode 6 he hooks her up with the cousin and has a session with the therapist about his symptoms so not sure that they abandoned it that quickly. He wasn't even into her like that then
Oh also a darker skinned evil character (the dad) is so played out. This needed to be better and let down the actors
