You're right the special was only good at the end. I don't mind Mhok and Aey being unresolved because both were a bit messy. Like, not clear why Mhok even liked Aey when he knew he was bad news.

I think due to it's popularity they'll be forced to do a s2 but based on the special I hope not

Don't read the book if you love the main characters. It's a hard read as Tine is seen as a shallow twink compared to a Neanderthal Sarawat. The series made them better but then went too far to appease us with barely any intimacy scenes

Enjoying was a strong term. It's problematic and I'm literally only there for Pond. It should have been so much more than it is from the trailer and the whole insecure nerd thing has dragged on too long now.

I think with time my tolerance for Thai dramas has waned and I tend to stick to Kdramas or Taiwanese

No not at all, I find it interesting.

It's a shame for me when they veer off script just to satisfy the fandom , many of whom are overly pushy and vocal about shipping couples even if the story doesn't need it. I don't mind the live shooting at all if I can watch every week but Love Is Science was my first experience of subtitle delays of days not mere hours.

On the product placement, Lovely Writer episode 10 was literally just a load of Products and the editing got worse as they clearly didn't shoot enough other content to weave the story together. So I've noticed that too. If I ever visit Thailand for example I'm going to have to have that yellow drink with purple labelling because it sponsors so much!

This industry is worth billions though but it's sad when we as the viewer have the commercial forced upon us instead of the story. I get that product placement really help with production costs and especially before main TV stations showed these but some take it too darn far

Yes I do appreciate that they are doing it for free and the delays etc. I think the issue is that viki reports subtitles are 88 or 92% complete and you get nothing a third of the way through an episode so it's frustrating. But I appreciate the hard work these volunteers put in for us who only speak one language.


Given the issues on a lot of productions I wouldn't be surprised if there is another delay on this one. I didn't realise they were shooting at the same time as screening. I may actually wait until it finishes completely to get back into it now even though I want to see how the Mark BL story unravels

I had high hopes for episode 10 but Nim continues to be the person everyone drags around and tramples on so, yeah, 4 episodes to go and I can't see how she's suddenly going to stand up for herself against everyone in her life!

I know! Maybe a s2 would give us more but that special was very unsatisfying for a lot of reasons

I didn't feel like Aey deserved him at all though and wanted him to get with Hin or someone else. A happy ending would have been nice. Let the man have a storyline!

The reason we ship this couple is because they have always communicated well together. So the special went way off message. I would have liked a special that led to s2 or maybe that Sib was trying to propose and the family were there.

Also, why was the door guy at the birthday party carrying post it notes?
Why was Gene so mean to Sib for the first 30 minutes?
Is Aoey basically sleeping with an older guy for money and jobs?
Why won't they give Bua a decent haircut?
What was the point of Book and the abusive boyfriend?

This may have actually been written by Hin between takes. It was really poorly put together
Mohk was literally thrown in to mock us. He gave nothing else to this episode.

I can't see myself rewatching this

I wanted to love it as a rom com but it was more about his, taekwondo, terrible parental decisions and father's mysterious path. Then forgiving those who didn't' deserve forgiveness because they had hurt you in the past. I struggled to get over this narrative all the way through and as that was part of the story for the main couple I didn't connect with their relationship. Second couple were better but only in comparison. The aunt was too immature though.

Or the ex boyfriend. It was a messy story where nobody got their rightful comeuppance. So frustrating

I liked it as a Friday night binge without feeling too invested in the outcome.

So Han Na was a typical frenemy and I'm glad we are calling out these fake friends who are waiting to pounce at the first opportunity. Instead of using her relationship with Oh Jina to make her better she was spiteful. Her jealousy was out of control and the reason she was struggling at the agency. Wrong focus. I kind of liked the growth of the 2nd ML and the way he spoke to Han Na. She needed to be challenged.

2nd couple took some getting used to but were sweet.

I want to love it but it still feels quite stilted from the editing and music insertions to the dialogue and storyline. Can't wait for it to find it's rhythm with both couples.

ok at least they've moved the relationship on a bit today. Nim is annoying. waiting for her to snap and clapback everyone. Koji is mean. Waiting for him to stop snapping
