I struggle with ages generally in these shows as none of them look the ages they're supposed to be whether young them or old them. But yeah, I put it down to creative casting as they seemed to cast a 7 year old sib and a 15 year old Gene :D

I like most of Mark's suggestions. Where your eyes linger is a good one. Addicted Heroin (viki) is an oldie but worth watching . A tale of a thousand stars is another.

It was a divisive tool that many commercial powers use on celebs and their public image so I'm glad Nubsib saw through it. They would never ever be free. And after coming out and gaining acceptance from their families why the fuck should they.

This is why so many turn to drink and drugs. Pressure from strangers who will drop them at the faintest hint that they're not 'behaving' .

I came to BL via LGBTQ and it made no sense to me so I avoided it for years. So basically gay for you relationships through a heteronormative lens and lots of interfering women? I haven't followed any of the actors or the fandom stuff as I'm interested in the story and representation and we need to either separate the two genres as you've suggested or ensure that BL is considerate of real LGBTQ relationships as well as denouncing the commercial, toxic fandom that drives it.

I get that and for some it may be triggering but in the context etc it wasn't an order. They were playing around. If Gene was chubby then fine but clearly that's not the case.

I think Gene's lack of selfishness was somewhat lost in the English translation which is a pity as that's what I saw too. I felt that was also missing in the Hin scenes. Nubsib is all about him and Gene and naively thinks that's enough. The confidence of youth! Whereas Gene is sensitive.

I feel like post Lovely Writer I'm really going to struggle with other BL dramas if they fall on old tropes. As for the fan service, they should start by writing less toxic female characters and I would love to see people focus on the story as opposed to the bedroom antics and gender etc.

But for those saying they're bored of this series, I guess they're not ready for the level of maturity in episodes 9 - 11

Tiffy and Aoey can both have a dastardly end and I'd only be sad for poor Tum

Yeah they ruined the Tiffy storyline. Like they ran out of budget so fell on a weird 'but he's gay' storyline. Also I didn't get Tum going to her when she's been a bish to him. I felt like I missed a segment where they supposedly got together. And is she angry with Aoey too? REALLY hope they don't get Mhok together with Aoey. It wouldn't make sense. Gene will forgive Aoey as he's not malicious but, Aoey doesn't deserve anything from anyone!

Actors are a commodity and it's sad to see how they're treated by Directors and the TV station etc. Lucky for us Nubsib doesn't want fame or acting. He just wants Gene

I loved when he explained his jealousy to Gene and they had that beautiful moment when Gene confessed back to him. Hoping 12 is just a series of those moments with some deserved comeuppances for the evil characters

Oh and can we say a hallelujah for the lack of product placements in this episode! After last week I was worried ;)

I get Sib respecting Gene's saying no and leaving. Yes he broke the promise but Sib has always respected his boundaries even when it's not the 'right' thing to do. I think Gene being the grown up and making the hard decision to stay apart shows growth.

I'm loving the way they're showing the industry. True it wasn't in the contract but it's implied. The number of fans I see ship actors as opposed to characters.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one frustrated by it all. I was frustrated by Hin, Tum and NubsibGene. I don't stan for any of the women in this series now and Tum's sister is quite simply horrible.

As for Aoey, I hope he wades into the sea and gets eaten by a shark

We've been promised a special so maybe another beach trip. you know these Thai BLs and their bloody beach trips :D

So never fear and keep the faith that 12 will be delightful, delicious and just what we romantics ordered

I suspect their reunion will be shades of Ep 8, 9 and 10. We can rest easy. I loved how deeply they both showed love in this episode and we know that it's unlikely to season 2 so 12 and 13 will be extra special. The obsession and love is so wonderful to see.

To be fair I'm like you. I can't typically take emotional rollercoasters like this but, this time, I am determined to believe the 'lovely writers 'of the screenplay won't let us down.
