As you have watched enough episodes by now u should realize that Jol isn't pure Wuxia, if you have watched enough Wuxia or read then you will understand. Jol perfectly combines multi genres into one with Wuxia aspects, palace politics, battle of wits/scheming, Fantasy as ya said sci-fi, comedy, rom etc.
