Just finished episode 8 and am still really liking this drama. I think the MC have great chemistry. A few comments....…
Added comment: I love seeing Dai Si in this. I haven't seen her in much else since watching her in Eternal Love and The Flame's Daughter, although, I know she has been in quite a few other projects. I do wish they would tell us her relationship with Hang Jing Mo and Gu Xiao Bei, instead of us just seeing a few scenes of hers.
Just finished episode 8 and am still really liking this drama. I think the MC have great chemistry. A few comments.... 1. The in game scenes could be better. They mostly spend time talking and saying they are going to do quests but you don't see it. We only saw them do one boss like fight scene (not counting their PvP battles) and one semi quest (the escort one). I can't wait til the FL finds out who Ink White really is. 2. I absolutely love WanWan's bedroom. The slow spinning seating area with the cup chairs is my absolute favorite part of it. The set design for their house is so neat. I love it. 3. I love all the acting and for the most part it seems very light hearted and sweet. I love the sibling interactions the most. You almost never see a brother so loving and caring for a younger sibling, she has him wrapped around her finger. 4. The costumes in game are so beautiful and really well done. I am liking all the detail they put into this. 5. Overall, the story seems a bit all over the place, jumping so much between game and real life. It still keeps my attention though.
Here is a list of several I would recommend:Story of Ming LanThe Rebel PrincessThe Rise Of PhoenixesThe King's…
I forgot to add a couple more of my favorites that are good. The Blooms at Ruyi Pavillion ( I really like this one, but the dubbing is a bit bleh, really bad dubbing on the kid) Legend of Yun Xi
I say these two because the main couple are the same for both. They both have great chemistry together and I really like the stories for both.
Started 1st episode and actually enjoying it (probably minority here). It is basically Love 020, imo, at least so far. I love Yang Yang, but I did not like his female co star in Love 020. So far I am liking both leads, but it is just the first episode. I am also liking the gameplay a lot better as well in this over Love 020. I probably need to quit comparing the two but they are so similar. Granted neither of these are huge high traffic artists, but I have seen the ML in several other dramas, and I like his acting. Hopefully, it will be good. I love gaming dramas, so I have high hopes for this.
Now that I finished the only drama I am watching as of now.... Can someone recommend any good historical drama?
Here is a list of several I would recommend: Story of Ming Lan The Rebel Princess The Rise Of Phoenixes The King's Woman The Legends The Princess Wei Young Who Rules the World Princess Agents Love and Redemption Legend of Fu Yao Listening Snow Tower Joy of Life Sword Snow Stride Eternal Love (another name Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms) Dance of the Phoenix General and I The Sword and the Brocade Novoland: Pearl Eclipse Under the Power
I have many more I could recommend but these are just the ones I can think of right now. They are a mix of xianxia, wuxia, historical costume dramas. A few with sad endings, a few with happy endings. These are ones I like, but some I like more than others, Story of Ming Lan probably my favorite, as is The Sword and the Brocade.
One of the best of the year. Very heartwarming and the story is absolutely wonderful. The acting, the costumes, the chemistry.... Definitely a very feel good drama. Hard to come by this kind of drama. I definitely would recommend this one.
I have started watching again since it now has aired every episode. Picking up where I left off at episode 27 and have never been more infuriated. This was such a light hearted drama and very nice watch until now. The princes' father is a jerk (to put it mildly), seriously Prince Zheng has never done anything to cause problems and now you are believing your stupid jerk of a 2nd son. Their father won't even investigate, if it had been anyone else he would have, it kind of seems like they are purposely creating "drama and angst" for drama's sake.
So I picked up The Story of Ming Lan to get me through the wait between eps of NLB and let me tell you….what…
Ming Lan is probably my absolute favorite costume C Drama. I have watched it numerous times. I absolutely love the story and the acting and the characters it is so good.
The thought process and idea is fairly good and it is a nice little "I am bored, etc." side entertainment idea. But.... it is basically a popularity, fan contest. If you really wanted to vote on Best Actors of a particularly genre, country, etc., you would put in actors who are really good, and not just the popular, high traffic ones (example only). It is very biased and the algorithm of it needs to be more thought out, but like I said at first it is "all in fun".
Its hard for me to choose. Korea does extremely where modern dramas are concerned, where as China does better in the historical, period, costume, wuxia, xianxia dramas.
Just started watching this for the first time, 20 mins in and I call bull crap on where they could have landed. That captain made a horrible decision. If they couldn't land in Anchorage, they could have gone to Juneau or even to Seattle or Portland, all of those airports are in between Anchorage and San Francisco. Just sayin'
I just finished watching this for the first time and I have to say I really liked it, even the last few episodes. I understand why some would not like the last few episodes. I get why they had the wife come back, she basically is the one that was able to clear up all the misunderstandings that Minister Park and Chief Kang had regarding the car accident. I guess they could of had Chief Kang's brother come out of his vegetative stage and do that earlier but, oh well. Which I think was a bit weird that in the end he did come out of what they said was a vegetative stage, didn't think that could happen realistically. Overall, the acting by all was superb. There were a few "like really" moments, but I liked the story. I did want a bit more dramatic longer minute ending, but it is normal K Drama cliché. I do think it could have been better in some areas, but it was not as bad imo as some of the comments have made it out to be.
cuz we all know The Untamed was a monumental failure of a drama
Just curious, have you watched or are you watching New Life Begins. Talking about female empowerment it is thrown in your face at every turn. Not to say it is bad, because I actually am enjoying the drama very much, but it is getting overwhelming. I do agree with your comments above. Very well written.
I understand why so many like this drama.. There were many things I liked as well... but I am becoming bored and…
I agree with you. I praised and absolutely loved this drama at the beginning and it still has some great scenes. The acting is amazing and the costumes, etc. It really is great for not being an S(+) drama. I haven't watched the last couple of episodes and I am debating if I still want to continue watching as they air or wait and binge the final 12 episodes. I love the stories, the female empowerment, and all that. BUT...... it is getting so overwhelming. I want more of the comedy and more of the relationship between the main leads. It is like their relationship isn't as important as making sure every other support character has their problems resolved, etc. I am wondering how many more women's issues or problems they can add to this drama. I still really like it and will finish it.
Devil Beside You and Why Why Love, my two favorites of hers and why I became such a fan of hers as well. I also liked Drunken to Love You. So much talent.
