After The Flame's Daughter I didn't think he would take antagonist role again...
I liked that one, but at the same I didn't. I don't know why, maybe the story. I absolutely love Bai Lu, too. I thought it was good, but there was just something missing. I hope he can get some ML roles as well. He is such a great actor.
After The Flame's Daughter I didn't think he would take antagonist role again...
I didn't even realize he was the antagonist in The Flame's Daughter til I watched him in Legend of Fu Yao, and he was so great in that. So I went and looked at all he was in and saw that he played the antagonist and had to watch it again. I love him in ancient costume dramas. He is so good.
This is the first time that I have watched a drama with Choi Soo Young as a lead. Wow, I am impressed. Jung Kyung…
I watched her in So I Married an Anti-Fan as a lead and she was good in that. I am going to try and watch some of her other dramas, because I actually like her.
I waited for this to finish so I could binge watch. I just started episode 9. At first, it started a little slow. In the first few episodes, I really didn't get that connection, so I wasn't overly emotional or invested until about episode 4 or 5 when they did the musical. That was so wonderful and heartwarming. Of course, the dog, I love the dog. The acting and stories are wonderful. The only thing I don't like is the sub plot with his story and the thugs. It is kind of distracting from the stories of the hospice patients, and his character development, which is what I am here for. I really don't like his ex girlfriend. I am not even sure if they were really dating. She is an emotional wreck, the kind of person that just brings misery to those around her. I can not stand this part, which is where I am at now. Looking forward to the second half of this series and hoping they wrap up this sub plot soon, cause it is annoying.
Am I the only one who's still confused about the whole Madam Yoo thingy? :s
I can try to answer any questions you may at least from what I gathered. Here is a bit of what I gathered from what I have watched.
1. She was hired as a consultant by the Eunae (?) family (company) to turn a (grand) daughter into a heiress. It seemed she found Jaime (as they call her) at an orphange. She spent ?? years raising her to be an heiress. So CSE could be married off into a chaebol family.
2. Jaime (CSE) cut all ties with Madam Yoo. And basically Jaime became CSE and took all the lessons she learned to become the perfect heiress and bride and is now basically became a bride for hire.
3. Jaime (CSE) is consider Madam Yoo's biggest failure, because CSE refused to get married. CSE then in turns sends Madam Yoo money for 13 yrs. I am not sure of why she did this, but I think it was more of I am paying you back for everything you did to me, etc. CSE meets with Madam Yoo to say she will no longer be sending her money. CSE felt she had fulfilled her obligation.
4. Madam Yoo has basically been living in a small apartment, without a job because of CSE she lost all credibility for any future consulting jobs.
5. The Kang family (mainly the main one running it, the brother/cousin of the 2nd ML) calls Madam Yoo to ask her to close a deal for them. A very scrupulous deal. After said deal was made it came out that it was fraudulent, so Madam Yoo ended up taking the fall after she had gotten a huge consulting fee from the Kangs. CSE ended up paying back the consulting fee after Madam Yoo went to prison.
So there are still some blanks in all this and lots of questions. I dont really care for this whole subplot, etc. I honestly think the majority of it is irrelevant to the main story. I may have misspelled several of the names, but the above is mainly the jest I get out of this. I can try and answer any other questions from my view point. I am actually going to rewarch the first 4 episodes here soon to see if I missed anything.
She has been doing this for 13 years, so prior to the last 5 years, I think she did legally marry some of them,…
I am pretty sure her and the ML are not officially divorced yet. They did fill out the paperwork but I don't think it has gotten turned in yet. So technically she can't marry the 2nd ML yet. At least that is what I think.
Yo. Someone explain this to me...They say Ji Ho and Sang Eun have been married for 5 years. But we know that she…
She has been doing this for 13 years, so prior to the last 5 years, I think she did legally marry some of them, cause she has something like 12 divorces and then some were just ceremonies and some were just "pretend" wife. She was married to the guy she is living with, who became her best friend, I believe that was prior to the last 5 years as well.
It’s messy and weird but for some reason I’m really liking it.I’m not big on romcom and Healer is the only…
I absolutely loved Healer it is probably my favorite of both PMY and JCW. Have you watched her with Lee Min Ho in City Hunter? I thought that one was really good as well. I would like to see her in more of that type of role. I think she is better in more action type roles. I like some of her other dramas as well, but Healer will be my favorite probably for a long time.
I first watched him in Chicago Typewriter, and was really drawn to his mysterious charming character, which is…
It looks like he has quite a bit of dramas i need to check out. My dramas to watch list always gets longer when I find a new actor I haven't seen before and really like. I go through their profile and start watching all their older stuff and then I get behind on all the new stuff out, 😆. Never ending cycle. I barely even watch any American TV now, cause I am to busy with K and C dramas.
Just curious has anyone seen any of Go Kyung Pyo's other works (dramas)? Is like this in his other dramas. This drama has me so curious about him now. I want to watch some of this other stuff. This is the first drama I think I have watched him in.
The mixing of genres in this drama kind of reminds me of Link: Eat, Love, Kill, however the writing here seems…
I agree about the mixing of the genres. It seemed to start off pretty good. I thought this was going to be more of a drama about her "job". But now they started bringing in all this backstory and chaebol family drama crap, that I think takes away what could have been an excellent series. I am still liking it. I love all the interactions with the male lead. I like her interactions when she does things for her past "husbands", but what I don't like is the other crap they are adding. I get they are trying to add to the story or rather the FL's backstory, about this is why she is the way she is, but they are adding stupid sub stories that really we don't care about. I want to see more ML and FL interactions.
Why does it end on that note?? AHHH!! KHJ is a jerky a**hole! WTH! He only did that in front of the cameras cause his family is pressuring him to get married/go on a blind date and leave his career. What a douchebag!! So aggravating and if the synopsis of the story is correct, than CSE will be going along with it. Not only that, now she is broke, because she paid off YMH's debt to the Kang's. So she can't go abroad. I hate the whole interaction she has with KHJ, it makes me cringe every time they are together. I am like many others, though, I hate his aversion to coming out saying he doesn't like being associated being gay or whatever is better than being gay. It really puts a damper on his character ever being redeemed for me. I do like seeing JJH opening up a little bit. Looking forward to more of this drama. I am really liking it so far and can't wait to see the next episodes.
I finally started this, and in the middle of episode 2 and I am just not getting into it. There are parts that I like. I just don't like Li Qin's character, please tell me she gets better. I get put off by girls who are leaders of "gangs" and bully etc. It just not really my thing. Overall, the costumes and acting and everything else is really good. I just can't get past her character and I want to like this.
This is the first K Drama I have watched as the episodes air. I usually wait until a drama finishes and binges, because the wait between each episode seems so long. I am actually really liking this drama, but there really hasn't been a PMK drama I haven't liked (except maybe Forecasting). I am glad the ML is finally opening up and we now know what his occupation is. I am actually surprised it has taken 13 yrs of her doing this for guys to start stalking her, etc. (unless they did before and we just don't know about it). The 2nd ML is giving me the creeps. I am wondering if the person that assaulted her was his manager or someone related to him, but at the same time, he has a whole bunch of pictures of her and asked his uncle about doing him a "favor". Her interaction with her roommate is my some of my favorite parts of this drama as well. I hope it continues to be as good as it has been.
This is one of my favorite esports drama. I am on my 3rd rewatch of it. The story is great and cute. The biggest negative I have of the whole drama is the last few episodes when the stupid Miya character comes back into the story. She should have stayed gone. It just created friction where there needed to be none and I didn't understand the reason why they brought her back, because by this time her character had become irrelevant to the story. So aggravating.
As far as other esports dramas, FIYS was good, mainly cause of the chemistry between Xu Kai and Cheng Xiao. The esports part was pretty good as well. It was cool to see the CGI aspect of the game. Love 020, I don't really consider this esports, it is just people playing an MMO, nothing big or competitive. I really disliked the female lead and the only reason I kept watching was because of Yang Yang. It doesn't really satnd the test of time either, the cinematography was really bad in some scenes at least when the gaming parts were going on. The King's Avatar, loved this one, it had a few of my favorite cast, Yang Yang, Leon Lai, etc. The story was really good. The esports part was good. It didnt have any romance and I was ok with that. When they showed the game scenes it was pretty neat. Finally, GGS, I am not a huge fan of Yang Zi. She is a great actress, I just don't like her as much as others. But I absolutely loved her in this. It was so perfect. This drama actually got me to become a big fan of Li Xian and Hu Yi Tian. I could do without so much of the flash back scenes ( there were a lot), but loved everything else. It was definitely one of my favs and have rewatched it a couple of times.
That's my 2 cents for GYH, as well a few critiques on a few other esports dramas.
1)is there love triangle? if there how much deep it is ?2)when do leads will be together3)is there any breakup?…
There is basically 3 main couples in this drama.
1. The first main couple have been friends for 12 years. They do not become an actual couple until about the 2nd to last episode in the series, but we see the Male Lead has feeling for his friend throughout the whole series. She is crushing on another boy for the first time in her life and that boy pretty much leads her on through the entire series until she finds out he has had a girlfriend for awhile now. That is when the Male Lead (her best friend) tells her his feelings and she doesn't want to acknowledge her own feelings for her friend. She finally does when he ends up going out with another girl. There aren't any real huge in depth love triangles between this couple, other than her liking that other guy, but it isn't any backstabbing or manipulation.
2. Ok 2nd main lead couple. They are already a couple when the series starts. Then as it progresses her friend from high school (they are all in uni btw) starts coming between them. The friend is very manipulative and makes the 2nd female lead question her relationship with the 2nd male lead. This leads to them breaking up about halfway through the series. The friend from high school does everything she can to ruin the 2nd female lead and trying to steal her boyfriend. The 2nd main couple finally reconcile in the last episode and "start over", becoming a couple.
3. The 3rd main couple, sort of my favorite. They aren't really that prominent. There are no love triangles or antagonist with this couple. The female of this couple has diabetes type 1 and the 3rd male lead learns everything he can about it, to help her. Their relationship just happens it is so cute and they are really sweet together. They don't actually get together until about the last 3 or 4 episodes but they hang out and do a lot together up til then.
That's about it. It was a cutesy type of drama and the acting was good imo. Great cast, etc.
