Try Unforgettable Love. So nice and the little boy is so cute.
I really loved Unforgettable Love. It was so cute, I am thinking of rewatching it.

Title Tears in Heaven Spoiler
I have just started watching this drama and so far I am enjoying. I know there are a lot of negative reviews and I can see where some are coming from. I love Li Qin and her acting in this is really good. The character she portrays is a bit all over the place, but she plays it well. She had me in tears during the death scene. I haven't cried over a drama in a very long time, but this one got me. I do think the story kind of jumps all over the place. They go from business stuff, to the kids on the island, to the second and third leads, and all over. Li Qin and Shawn Dou's interactions with each other are wonderful. Most of the drama is typical Chinese modern drama scenarios to be expected. I will have to say I HATE Si Qi (FL's friend) character so much, at least right now. She is just with her boyfriend for his money or what he can buy her. She shows no empathy and poor guy takes it. I wish he would stand up for himself, actually I wish he would just end things with him, she doesn't deserve him at all. (granted right now I am only episode 15 so if things change, I don't know yet). But I really want her character gone, she seems worse than the supposed antagonists in this right now. Looking forward to the rest of it and most likely I will be skipping through a lot, because for this type of drama 41 episodes already seems way to much.

One drama that i finished over the weekend but should have dropped is love is better than immortality. The only…
I love the main female lead in it. I have watched nearly all Zhao LuSi's dramas, but I can not get into this one. I have watched and rewatched 2 to 3 episodes and I really want to try and finish, but I don't know if it is the script or her over acting in this one, but it is cringe for me and I really want to like it. I almost stopped A Female Arrives at the Imperial College as well, but Xu Kaicheng makes everything great :)

Thank you! I understand what you mean. You have to feel really attached to a story to not care about boring fillers.…
Almost any historical drama with Zhao Lusi has funny moments in it. I have pretty much watch almost all her dramas and right now there is only one I can't finish because it is absolutely to ridiculous for me (and I really like ZL).

I rarely drop dramas, because I watch them mainly for cast, but there are two I regret watching. First one is…
I agree with you, I didn't see the hype Joy of Life was getting. It took me a long time to finish it. But after watching Sword Snow Stride, which I absolutely loved, I started liking Zhang Ruo Yun and wanted to watch more of his dramas. I will admit I skipped through a lot of JoL scenes, but I also like Li Qin, so the scenes of them together I really liked. But the ending was a bit of a cliffhanger, I heard they were making a season 2.

I have been getting that vibe with some recent dramas I have been watching. When I get to that point, I usually start skipping scenes, episodes, etc just to hurry and get to the end, so I can see how it ends. Quite a few you mentioned I haven't even seen, but there were 2 I really liked, but there definitely scenes in those two that I do skip through, cause they drag or the secondary characters are uninteresting or the plot is just not there for me.

This was one of the first dramas that got me started on Asian dramas. I loved this. I love the chemistry between Mike He and Rainie Yang, so great. This drama was so cute, loved it.

Wanted to add I think the reason I like the main actress so much, is that she reminds me so much of Bai Lu for some reason. I was a Bai Lu fan first, but I have since watched several of Li Qin's dramas. They are both great actresses and I have liked most of their dramas.

Title The Song of Glory Spoiler
I have a love/hate for this drama. The acting is really good. Li Qin is a great actress, I have seen her in several other dramas. I have recently become a Jason Gu fan. I don't know how I missed this drama when it originally came out. So I love the acting, costumes, scenery and some of the story lines. What I can't stand is how blatantly obvious the antagonist is and then gets away with it. That wouldn't happen. The fact they let the Queen Consort (or whatever she is) dictated a lot of decisions, when she is suppose to have no involvement in the politics of the court. The fact the court doesn't even listen to the Prince who is "in charge". I mean the stupid maid/younger sister getting away with all her crap, ridiculous. Overall the story and some plots are good, just a lot of aggravating moments and WTF moments.

I am on episode 9. I really am trying to like this drama, but it is really hard. I absolutely love the two main leads and I hate that this drama is not very good. The secondary characters are not very good (well a couple of them are) and the acting is not great. I think the story or plot has a lot to do with why it is so bad. (I am only watching while I am waiting for a couple of dramas to finish so I can binge them)

I think ML has Donghua vibe when he is in his teasing mode :D
I get that. I love Vengo Gao, it may be why I like this ML so much. Jeremy Tsui is so great to watch too. If you haven't watched Legend of the Phoenix, I recommend that. It was really good, but I like him in this drama a bit more.

Title The Autumn Ballad Spoiler
I've watched her talking about her brith mother, but has the actress who plays the role appeared at some point?
Let me see if I can explain it. Qiu Yan's bio mother is the consort (concubine) of the second house. You see her I believe in the first episode when QY's father slaps her for falsifying QY's birthdate. The one QY calls mother and really treats like a mother is the main wife of the 2nd house, she took QY in when her bio mother basically abandoned her. They tell more of that story as the show progresses. Hope that helps.

It might be the translation. Not so impotant. I will give you anothe one: the title of Duke is lower than of a…
I often wonder about a lot of these translations, because Tencent is translating the 2nd house as 2nd chamber. I don't know if that is normal, because on other shows when they talk about 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc it is always referred to as "house" or "family" not chamber, this is the first time I heard or saw that rather. I am actually trying to learn Mandarin right now so I can grasp a lot of what they say and not have to rely so much on translations.

I can almost bet my whole cdramas knowledge that this whole arc where QM run away to QX is for her to become pregnant…
I am thinking the same thing.

Because they are using the Emperor's superstitious proclivities and desire for longevity/immortality against him…
I haven't seen that, I will have to check it out.

so far I believe 24, that is all I have seen on Tencent.
I usually do, too. I hate watching and then having to wait, I like to binge the series, especially the modern drama ones. A lot of the time I rewatch dramas I love while waiting for one to finish that I want to watch. Just recently, I have been watching a few as they air, but for the most part I wait as well. Like I am waiting on Hello, the Sharpshooter to finish cause I really want to watch that one. One I couldn't wait to watch, Sword Snow Stride, I absolutely loved every minute of it and sat and waited for each new update, because it was so good.

I think it's quite obvious that they are starting a cunning plan to trick Emperor into forgiving Qiu family, and…
Didn't LY say at one point that the emperor didn't want to admit he was wrong in his judgement of the Qiu family? Or are they trying a different strategy for the Qiu family to gain favor so that the emperor will let them come back? I am going to stick with it, because overall the storyline is really well and the acting is great.

Title The Autumn Ballad Spoiler
I have really enjoyed this drama until the recent episodes 22, 23, 24, mainly starting 23. The story has started out really good. I love the chemistry between LY and QY, you can see it already at the beginning. I don't care my for QY's and QX's storyline, I feel it is forced (probably intended that way, but I don't like). I like that they made QY a strong female and very smart and witty, I hate the simpering females that they sometimes do in these dramas, for example, her sister QM. The plotlines for the most part have been really good up until recently, I actually didn't start fast forwarding through scenes until recently, and I have a tendency to do that a lot if there is a scene I don't like or characters I could care less about.

Some things that bother me, why on earth is the emperor (majesty or whatever they call him) listening to a guy they brought back from exile and how did he all the sudden get to lead the other division (I forget the name)? Also, the whole story with QY's family being framed bothers me too. I know they have their own internal problems, but really all the sudden we are framing a family particularly the 2nd family who has been honest and doesn't hold a high position in court and has never done anything wrong and the emperor believes he actually is guilty of embezzlement, really?? I think that is a stupid emperor. After that I don't know why QY doesn't feel more hate toward LY because it technically is his fault that all that happened with her family, she went hardcore on her grandmother and father about her mother's death, but has no hard feelings toward LY for basically causing the downfall of her family. And what the heck is going on with QM, she started off meek and jealous of her sister and then changed after her trauma (which totally understand), then all the sudden goes back to where the rest of the Q women are and is meek again. They are being to wishy washy with that character. Also, this new storyline about finding some pearl, where did that come from, are they just adding more stuff to continue the episodes?

When I read the description of the show and saw some reviews from others, I was excited to watch this, cause I was getting an Under the Power, Maiden Holmes, and Imperial Coroner kind of vibe, it started out like some of those but then is totally going down hill. I do hope it picks back up, cause the acting is great, the chemistry is great, the storyline has its ups and downs.
