The ex boyfriend's current girlfriend/mistress is not the niece of Shi Yan. Shu Yi saw Shi Yan's car at the hospital the same time she went to get her phone (which happened to be in her ex boyfriend's car) and Shu Yi saw her ex with the "mistress", so she assumed that the "mistress" is Shi Yan's niece. So that is why she hatched a plan with her best friend to try and win Shi Yan's affection (although now she is developing real feelings). Shi Yan's real niece is Shi Yue, who happens to be working with Shu Yi as her intern, but Shu Yi doesn't know that she has mistaken the whole niece thing. Le Zhi is the name of the "mistress", she is supposedly a niece of someone (comments have said she is the niece of Shi Yan's driver).

Me too, I subscribed to Viki, Tencent/WETV, IQIYI, Mango App, and Youku. I also do Netflix and Disney+/Hulu for mostly Korean Dramas, other than Viki, I haven't found a good Korean app for their dramas (besides Hulu and Netflix). I hardly ever use the Mango App though because I can't stand their subs, it is mostly if I can't find it anywhere else and I try to power through the drama if I really want to watch it.

I usually over analyze things as well, but at the same time I also realize this is fiction so not everything is going to be exactly like real life. I think if it was exactly like real life, we probably wouldn't enjoy these dramas as much.

I am loving their interactions. I actually don't usually like characters like Shi Yue in dramas, for some reason they have always bothered me, but I absolutely am loving her and her pursuit of Yu You. She definitely made him stumble today and I am so excited about their outcome, can't wait for it.

I was thinking the same thing. When they were walking by the water, I just knew the phone was going to ring. It happens every single time. And then the next time she gets skittish and runs away. For her being the one pursuing, I am surprised to see her run away so much.

That is a perfect explanation of him. I don't know if I like him or aggravated he is not more serious.

It took me to episode 3 to start understanding a lot of the people who and what relation they were, but now after 6 episodes, I feel I am getting an even better understanding of everyone and what their role is.

I don't understand why Xue Ning's father doesn't reprimand his wife (Ning's mother), she is so rude to her and in front of the father who seems to adore Ning. I don't like the mother at all.

Also, from what I have seen it is going to take a lot before Xue Ning develops any sort of feelings for Xie Wei, they are so far apart right now, I can't even imagine them together as of right now.

Another thought is Xie Wei Yan Lin's supposedly dead cousin, Dingfei? That is why Xie Wei is so protective of the Yan family. or am I reading to much into this?

The acting is really good, there is a lot of really good veteran actors as well. I really like this story, even though I am still trying to piece everyone's part together, excited to see where it goes. I have been in a C Drama slump and haven't really enjoyed any dramas lately, so glad OFL and SKOP started, enjoying both right now.

Oh I haven't finished. I watched OFL earlier today and a bit of episode 1 of SOKP, only within the last couple of hours have I finally had the time to sit and binge the remaining episodes of SOKP

Yes!! I think between her and Zhao Lu Si, I could watch anything they are in. Their dramas are always my favorites.

I was confused a lot too. I am currently on episode 4, but episode 3 seemed to explain quite a few things. I still have lots of questions and hoping they will be answered through the series.

I agree, I am really enjoying him in this.

I wish they would focus more on them than the 2nd couple.

I think we are so use to him using a sub, that when he uses his own voice it is surprising.

I don't know how I am going to be able to keep up with both especially it being one costume and one modern. I try not to watch dramas that have the same leads (or one of the same leads) at the same time, but I have been waiting for SOKP and I am really enjoying this drama.

I know, probably cause we are use to hearing a different person dub him for other dramas, so to hear his own voice is a bit different.

I do have to say I like how she kind of ignored her best friend when replying to his text about Uncle Guan missing her or rather wondering when she would be back.

Me too, I actually liked him in Meteor Garden as well. He does ok in costume dramas, but I think he fits modern dramas better.
