This story just keeps getting intriguing. I can't stop watching it. I honestly haven't enjoyed a political drama or good story since LLTG (although LLTG wasn't hugely political, I still classify it under that umbrella)
Also, Xie Wei must remember the past as well. Am I wrong?
Him remembering the past is speculation right now. According to novel readers, the only other person who remembered (besides Ning'er) was Zhang Zhe, but here in the drama it seems like at times Xie Wei remembers as well.
Why does Prince Ping Nan target the Yan family by using the Xue family? I would think he would want to go after…
I didn't think about it that, totally forgot about the army. Although as the emperor said the army is split into two right now, so not as powerful, but I guess they can still cause a threat and as mentioned today, that as long as there is a Yan alive, they will not obey anyone else. So even if Yan Lin and his father were killed Xie Wei is still a Yan by blood and alive.
Why does Prince Ping Nan target the Yan family by using the Xue family? I would think he would want to go after…
Yes I didn't think of it that way. I agree about the incompetence. Although, the current emperor is somewhat smart. I just wish he wouldn't listen to his uncle and mother so much. He knows they are purposely trying to bring the Yan family down and he allows it. So aggravating. He is a ruler, the leader of the country, he should tell them to just shut up, lol. I know it isn't how it works. Also, I really really hate little Xue (the kid Xue who thinks he is all powerful and go around slapping women)
Why does Prince Ping Nan target the Yan family by using the Xue family? I would think he would want to go after the Xue family, as they are the ones that are in power and the Queen Dowager especially, tricked him by sending out a "fake" prince 20 years ago. I get maybe he is trying to remove the lesser of the two powerful families first, but if I were him I would do everything to remove the Xue family.
I just started watching this, so maybe this was answered before, but what is actually the illness Xie Wei has?…
More like PTSD. He is the child that was sent out by the Queen Dowager, as the "false" prince 20 years ago. Everyone believes he was killed, but he is actually alive and has been under Prince Ping Nan for awhile, until he came to the capital under that Princes command. So he suffered a lot, we don't know everything, but since the killing of the 300 (I think it was) happened during the snow storm that is one of his triggers.
I fast forward their scenes, they have become annoying and irrelevant to the main story. And as much as I was excited about Shi Yue and Yu You's storyline, their's has also become a bit to slow and boring. Their interactions in these episodes was just ehhh.
I have been fast forwarding the 2nd couple's scenes. I just can't watch them anymore.
I keep getting confused with the subtitles, so if they don't fix the lie soon it is going to be quite aggravating going forward. I really thought after watching part of episode 19 that I had missed a whole episode or at least a part of one.

Agree. I love watching Miles Wei, so I am trying to be patient with his character's relationship. And unless, something drastically changes, I can't with BRS and GJ's relationship anymore.
Ok Hold Up!! Did I miss an episode or story part? I am in the middle of episode 19. When the heck did she learn that Shi Yue is Shi Yan's niece? At the 29:37 mark, Shi Yue asks what about my uncle? Then Shu Yi starts inner monolgueing about what Shi Yan would think about her going on a blind date. I am so confused.....
hi all, i put this drama on hold after 3 episodes....just wasn't at the time feeling it, bit too much going on…
~The story is really good, so intriguing, ignoring all the relationships, the story is what is really keeping me glued. I can't wait to hear and see what is coming. The relationships are just an added bonus. ~My favorite chemistry of all time is Bai Lu and Xu Kai and for some reason they have such great chemistry. I know so many people love her with Luo Yun Xi, I personally don't, that is just me. Her pairing with Dylan Wang in OFL reminds me a lot of her pairing with Xu Kai. I did like her with Allen Ren as well, but not as much as here with ZLH. I am really enjoying this pairing with Zhang Ling He, but I think honestly it has a lot to do with the storyline, because this story is perfect for both of them. ~As far as best FL ZLH has had, it would probably be this one, he wasn't bad with Esther Yu, but it is totally different level with Bai Lu. Besides Esther Yu, I have really only Sebrina Chen to compare with and I didn't particularly care for her or rather their chemistry wasn't that remarkable. ~Best drama of Bai Lu, omg, I have loved almost everything she has been in. This one is great so far (it is not over yet, so can't be to quickto judge), but I love Arsenal Military Academy and this is coming from someone who doesn't like Republican Era dramas. It is so hard to choose, because she did great in One and Only, but I can't rewatch it because I did not like the ending, but I did love Forever and Ever. I also liked her in Ordinary Greatness. She really has great talent.
