And if you think her character is well written, that's because you can see it in her acting already but find it hard to acknowledge maybe because you think being overly expressive like crying her heart out all the time and going around expressing her troubled heart with an outburst of emotions like would be better. But nope. That's not Changge. Not in the manhua. Nor in drama.

I found her eyes the most expressive ones. Her eyes portrayed and expressed her suppressed emotions which she couldn't speak out, like Leyan could, in her situations, or even Sun could in his.

Well I saw many enraged at how she didn't even permit the adaptation lol which would be really weird so felt like sharing this after I stumbled upon an article in a video.

I don't think so.
Li Changge is a very complex character whose emotions were portrayed brilliantly Dilraba. An introverted personality, who swallows all her pain, who keeps all the turmoil up inside, only to let those emotion surface in a subtle way, in a way only a person who can deeply empathize with her can understand, Sun, namely. Bearing a whirlwind of psychological trauma but pulling off a brave front, intelligent aura when strategizing and thinking up plans and showing off the masculine toughness while pulling out arrows. Crying ugly with excruciating pain while crying aesthetically beautiful single teardrops when the pain has taken deep roots in her. Those expressive eyes that boldly expressed all the waves of worries going through her mind, all fear that had taken over her mind when Sun fought Sher. Slashing through enemies in the battlefield with that valiant revenge-hungry warrior face.

And not to mention, portraying her feelings of love for Sun with subtle interactions with just a sparkle in her eyes at his safe return, a single tap of comfort in the finger, hesitantly shoving away her hands from his embrace to express the shyness.

Changge is not an EXPRESSIVE, ONE DIMENSIONAL, SURFACE- LEVEL character. I surfed deep into her eyes, explored her subtle actions of just fingers, got struck in awe at her bold and tough expressions when fighting and pleasantly got impressed at her striking up plans and strategies.

Nope, I could never imagine the Li Changge of the manhua to be portrayed by anyone else but Dilraba Dilmurat. She brought BEST Changge to life, not just for her natural mole under her left eye, which made her destined for the role, but for all these.

The suppression of emotions as what Changge should do and letting out fractions at times, and a stunning outburst other times when the scene demanded, I could never explore Changge so thoroughly if it were played by anyone else, let alone Rosy.

Just like Ashina Sun is unimaginable to be played by anyone else but Wu Lei, Li Changge cannot be played by anyone this perfectly but Dilraba.

Bute yes, Rosy pulled off Leyan perfectly. But she can never replace Dilraba as Changge.

Producer of TLB, Yan Bei asked the mahua artist Xia Da for creative advice. So the people who were curious as to whether Xia Da had a part or if she permitted the adaptation, she did. She guided the points about how chemistry of GeSun should be and how there should be no love triangles.

Okay the amount of brute strength emanating from Grassland genes is on a whole extra level. Makes me wonder if Changge were to be a grassland girl, how stronger she would've been :'3

That's the only place, where TLB is trashed. And I conclude it as a fact that Douban doesn't do any justice to rating dramas. Respecting opinions comes secondary here as opinions there seem to be nothing but unjustified hatred.

Hermione Granger. Li Changge.

Two of my favorite female characters. And I couldn't agree more with you.

She has told in almost all of her interviews her Changge has impacted her. How she grew with Changge. How, in spite of hateful comments on her historical appearances, she decided to do the drama after reading the manhua. She found her confidence, her strength, her resolve with Changge. So Changge is very very very special to Dilraba.

Yuan. The most adorable character in TLB. Adorable, sensible and strong for a child of her age. She's one of my most favorite characters. I regret not seeing her in more scenes, particularly no scene with Situ Lang Lang, would've been one of the best scenes, but yes, the fact that they informed and handed her over to him is fantastic. Yuan did lose her parents. But her parents were noble and heroic figures who died defending the country. Her life could've been so tragic. But thankfully she encountered the best people who nurtured her all along with their best. Elder Qin, XuFeng, Changge, Sun, ShiBa, Situ Lang Lang. All of them adored her, took care of her, protected her, educated her, cherished her, trained her, and gave her a life many of us would be envious of. Yes she will still have the void her parents left her because that is a void none can fill. But she will have the best people with her all her life to accompany her and fulfill her parents' dreams. A wonderful turn of life. She'll grow up as the beloved girl of all these amazing human beings, who'll be there to shield any other potential wounds inflicted upon her.
