Fortunately, she thought hard and disregarded those and chose this which allowed her to grow with her character. She found a character that made her so happy and helped her grow .

Um, wow, I just found two souls of the same mentality here in this thread. I didn't like Dijun's character at all and I can't stand those kinds of love where one gives forever, the other rejects and then only in the end to accept it all and then be a dominating counterpart. I couldn't finish ELOD, he's just not the kind of male lead I look up to. Also I saw a video where he's jealous of his own son and doesn't let him near his mother, lol, like seriously? It comes off as bullshit toxicity to me rather than finding it cuteeeee kyaaaa factor. And this whole ELOD love trope as you have mentioned just makes it look like a pedophilian to me xD
For me, I am a sucker for the kind of relationships where, both leads are each other's equals, they fight together, believe in each other, a camaraderie ! So GeSun is my dream and I'm so glad to have found them in TLB.
And wow, I just didn't watch Flames daughter because I didn't like the vic x Raba pairing lol. That trope of his finding his past lover is just as you have said don't come off as real love. Basically I'm allergic to a lot of stuffs when it comes to the kind of relationship portrayed. And GeSun filters out all those elements I'm allergic to, and on the contrary contains everything that I admire, believe in, treasure and find precious. Very special.

Being honest in public doesn't actually make this an example of good manners either and if he was being honest, he must be really weak and needs to work out more. Leo being younger and smaller than him carried her way too easily seeing from the bts. Also Dilraba herself can carry men who are huge like she carries a 190cm guy in KR. Doesn't change the fact that Vengo still cannot play along with her playfulness. He just can't match her energy level. I find it more admirable to find it when two persons can get along freely matching their energy levels without restraining themselves and bring out a side to themselves that others can't. That's what I see between Raba and Leo, like Alexis Romanov pointed out in this thread, he can match her tempo and can always catch her off guard with jokes and makes her smile aside from taking care of her. So I adore their pairing too much. Also I'm not saying Vengo is a bad person or anything, I never had a thing for his pairing with Raba and his character in ELOD and their love was just too absurd for me to even finish the drama. It was always her that spent all her love on him but they were never really equals as he treated her like a child. I admire and love the kind of love where the two consider themselves and treat their counterparts as their equals and fight together, having each other's back alwys, just like TLB portrayed GeSun. They have each other's back, trust each other, constantly protect each other and give each other the independence of their choice not hindering themselves. A healthy relationship founded on trust,respect,sincerity and strength is very well portrayed. Sun is, to me, the best written male lead yet. On the contrary, I found ELOD the kind which promotes male dominating elements with inequality in relationships. I'm allergic to such elements.
