I did, WW2 is always a killer if they want to keep it real. Also, most asadoras span a few decades, so obviously some older people will eventually die. But the thing about asadoras is that they always find a way to make me smile after I've cried my eyes out, they can be sad but they are always hopeful and not depressing. Excellent writing.
I'm on episode 4 and so far it's the best kind of frenemies. Really caring for each other but also constantly fighting. It's amusing to watch. If you've seen S.C.I it's a bit like that, and also the black and white colour coding.

You are the reason I have so many asadoras on my PTW. I love your recommendations, give me a well written, deep drama and not the shallow plastic that Kdramas have turned into.
Definitely a reality, I used to watch them all the time and now I don't even bother because I just end up dropping. All the reasons you gave are spot on. They were ruined by the Koreans trying too hard to make them more western, both in the number of seasons and the content. For people like me who left behind western TV because it had so many seasons, I really don't want more of the same but in a different language.
