A lot of you guys didn't see chemistry. Strange. There are a few scenes where I felt a lot. When they reading together, in the way they look eachothers when they walk. I agree is a subtle chemistry, not loud, not too explicit, but there is.
In spite of some comment I decide to watch 1st episode. I love the levity of the drama and I love the male/female leader actor. He is really good. Loved him also in Mr. Heart.
I love only a few Kdrama, the best atmosphere I had is in You Make Me Dance. Total different from Thai or Taiwan HIStory drama. I love also this BL type.

Again? But why complaining every with. One or another of you gusy (who didn't like the show).... the solution is simple. Don't watch OR, if you decide to watch even with all the horrible things, don't complain. There is a crystal clear choice - switch-off button.
No one here are normalizing nothing at all.
1. no rape (only drunk sex... IF they have had sex - this is not so clear 2. NO incest, they are NOT blood related, one is the mom child, the other is dad child. NO PARENTS IN COMMON. XJ has another family name too! 3. the only "almost rape" is condamned (drug rape of MuRen avoided thank to Li Cheng). 4. consent, request, acceptance in the couple MuRen LiCheng is the only things the writer are normalizing.
Till now Li Cheng has asked MORE than once to Mu Ren if is ok. And when Mu Ren rejected he also ACCEPT the rejection.
There is no worst blind that who doesn't want to see.
I think how Li Cheng approach Mu Ren in the kissing scene is perfect. One little kiss and immediately asking if he remermber the night before. Another little kiss and waiting for Mu Ren reaction. Only then, with Mu Ren going near to him, Li Cheng go for a real, sweet but passionate kiss.
I love also that he asks info to Sun Bo. He wants to do everything right for Mu Ren and himself, he is really in love.

I agree with you except for blaming initial Mu Ren reaction to Li Cheng confession. I think for him was too soon. For this reason I don't blame Mu Ren. The "poor girl" also understand and give him that little punch in response only to pace his mind.

But you have read the novel. You base your feeling on that. I cannot read it, so I base my opinion and feeling only on what I see on video. There is an issue on other series too. Something about tharn type can be understood only reading the novel... and to be clear, find english decent version in very difficult.
The way Choi Ki Wan look Ryu Ho Sun there... it's great.
Or the last scene with the confession of Ryu Ho Sun, the eyes full of tears and indecision, still he's starting willing.... I felt them a lot.
