I really think it has something to do with products for young. I read and watch almost every type of book/ film / serie. I use to read horror, thriller, medical drama, romance, MM, Fantasy, YA... But there are some things I cannot read. Mafia Romace for instance. I've written some romance and sci-fi and I self-publish so I know what people want, I cannot understand why they want it (here and there I have issue to accept some extrem product). When I see a good chemistry on screen it is normal questioning about their chemistry off-screen. Though I stop there, but I am not in my 20. I am 50 y.o. maybe this explain why I am not fond of fan-service. Quite frankly a lot of the things I see on YouTube are not dissimilar of how I interact with my female friends, and I am not a lesbian. I cheek kiss my female friends, my male friends and I have a lot of LGBTQ+ friends that do the same. It is NORMAL, it is not something that made me think .. "oh they are a couple"...
