He actually did a kissing scene with Dilraba and Bai Lu. Not a lip locking kind of thing but not a peck either. You can see from BTS. The chemistry with his previous FLs was actually really great - you can even see his feelings for Shi Yi in his eyes that they didn't even need a kiss. Knowing this I know what to expect from his work: facial expression, not passionate kiss. But yea I'm a not a big fan of his last drama (I also skipped some of his other dramas where I felt the story not interesting enough) - don't know what happened with Li Qin it might have been something with the way they were directed. From what I got - Lu Yan's character is supposed to be cold and distant. The story itself is far from "romantic" not sure if that is how the writer/director wanted to be, but because of that, the "no kiss" fit okay in the whole story. Remember directors do play HUGE role in every drama.
After The Flame’s Daughter, I didn’t think he would take another villain role and I was a bit disappointed when I see him as Zhu Rong in Thousand Years for You 😩 (still don’t get it why he is listed as the guest role, he is obviously the antagonist here 😅) Anyway, still hoping he’ll get his break through - I thought he would after Jiu Liu Overlord.

If I want to watch drama with kisses I would watch other actors. To me, as long as I’m getting the feelings, I’m ok without kisses (and this is a general statement). So, feel free to delete his dramas from your list.
urgh!! all these dramas just giving us such abrupt or open ending. I'm still not happy with the ending for Love Between Fairy and Devil. I guess we can only assume YDD will approach LY again.
Saw this OST - I know only short clips but I think I saw LY killed himself (maybe to return the energy core?) and YDD was crying - all in wedding dress? I'm getting nervous now....

His facial expression. His rare smile on screen is adorable (which I know he smiles a lot more during interviews). He is not overly handsome, but he is very charming. If you give him one look you won't really notice him - I didn't like him the first time I saw him, but then I fell in love with his acting. Oh, and he is a good dancer and singer - I've been rooting for him ever since :)
Started watching because of Xu Kai, but even when I like him so much (and his acting was perfectly fine) I just can't go on. Dropped after 5th episode. This is the only his drama that I can't continue. Maybe one day I will try to watch again.
Finished ep 26. I can't say this one is my favorite, but I love RJL too much that I am not going to drop this. Like what others say, lack of chemistry between FL and ML - I have seen almost RJL dramas and he had great chemistry with all the FL (especially with Tan Song Yun and Bai Lu!). But regardless the chemistry (and I never care about the kiss no kiss) I still think this one is really interesting. Still loving RJL facial expression, And this drama is like a hybrid xianxia. Last time I tried to watch Twelve Legends (similar genre I think) I can't even pass the first episode 😅. Anyway, 10 more episodes, maybe something will turn around.

Well he really did something right cause I am stuck on him! I usually only watch wuxia/xianxia but I have watched all his modern dramas - except Blue Flame Assault. His facial expression is just priceless!
