I came here after watching the Chinese one. I liked it, but let's be honest Kim So Yong definitely carried this drama. Her comedic timing is top notch! I found the ml pretty bland if I'm being honest and if his scenes weren't carried by the fm he could get lost. I loved all the side characters especially mrs choi and the chef.
The ending was definitely a choice, I still have the last 2 episodes left to watch of go princess, go and see which I prefer. But overall I really loved this drama a definite hidden gem.
I'm still living on this shows high. Season 1 definitely had more depth to it and kept you interested in the plot and a LOT more action. But season 2 really went further into character development for a lot of characters, especially Jang Uk. I loved his carefree cute personality in season 1 but season 2 he definitely shown as an actor, he superbly portrayed a more serious character flawlessly but kept his charm and turned it smoldering.
I wish it could have picked up sooner than ep 8. I feel 20 episodes would have made this show perfect and had more than 3 episodes of action however episodes 8-10 were fantastic. I wish we got a few more episodes like those.
I was sceptical with the change of the main lead but my gosh did Go Yoon-jung do a fantastic job! The writing may have been a little slow for her character but she still managed to capture me in every scene, she is so beautiful but also beyond adorable . I found myself loving her character as Jin Bu Jeon more than Mi-Deok. They are just two completely seperate personalities.
The Crown Prince was my heart stopper, he's just so cute and funny. You instantly feel good the second you see that face. You never feel you get enough of seeing him on screen. I wish we got more of him, but what we did get was pure gold. Shin Seung-ho is such a sweetheart hottie, I have to go binge his earlier work my heart isn't ready to say goodbye to him quite yet.
I found myself liking Yul wayyy more this season, he was super bland for the most part in season 1 but the chemistry he had with Go Yoon-jung really pushed his acting skills up and had someone to properly bounce off. I found him a lot more endearing this season definitely and his cute moments with Jin Bu Jeon had my heart going.
Overall I really enjoyed season 2 and even though I adore the cast and would love to see them back again, I think another season would be too much. I will miss this series a lot and now need something else to watch to fill the void. Haven't loved a show this much since The Untamed.
I had been contemplating watching this for a long while and 2 days ago I took the plunge. I'm on ep 13 and honestly I am really loving this show so far. I see that it goes downhill and they cut like 32 eps or something. But right now I'm really enjoying it. Xu Kai of course carries this show, he just has the best facial expressions and delivery of lines I can't even cope. I am excited to continue watching regaurdless. I am so here for the second love story though, so gosh damn cute.
