He still shot that last fire arrow despite Jiang Ci not being out because he knows he can't let Lu Yu cross over…
You are right, he will try to do everything he can to save her but not when he has no choice but to choose the higher priority. He will always put his own best interest first at the end of the day. He also knew WZ was on that boat with her and even though he knew it was a risk, it wasn't as risky as if she was on the boat completely alone and defenseless. PY has a lot of faith in WZ abilities to get her out alive and at least.
I'm ready for this angst, their relationship has always been on the slow burn but I feel we needed some conflict after all the soft moments to spice it up and make WZ crave her more than ever. Plus a bit of heartache will toughen JC up, I think the slap was good for her character to have a limit of men grabbing her against her will. She's allowed to say no, even to WZ.
I don't even need a spoiler to know PY is gunna try and marry her π
I decided to give this drama a second chance. My only gripe right now is WHEN DO THEY START CATCHING FEELINGS?…
Their feelings start to show more and more from about ep 10 onwards! A lot more looks and subtle flirting! it's a slow burn though that's for sure π
Just caught up on this drama today after a binge. I wasn't sure at first about the two leads together and I hadn't seen the ML in anything before but damn the chemistry is on fire π₯π³ I take back all my doubts! I hope we get at least one steamy kiss or it's all for nothing. I regret binging it so fast because now I'm about to go into episode withdrawals waiting π
I've half dropped this drama, I've watched the first 9 episodes and tbh just not really feeling it. it's not terrible or anything and visually it's gorgeous but its also a bit boring? Now seeing how everyone hates the ending should I even bother to continue at all? I really love Vengo Gao and he was my first cdrama crush (the pillow book you ruined me) but he looks his age in this drama lets just say that, so being cast with someone just sooo young is giving me a bit of the ick. Chemistry aside, it feels like she wants to cuddle with her uncle or something. I have such conflicting emotions towards this drama after waiting so long for it.
Finally just finished this drama and wow I really loved it overall. However the last 10 eps or so seemed a bit rushed. Every single actor in this drama did a phenomenal job. the two mains of course were on fire (still cannot believe YXY is literally only 22 π³) The actress who played Wanning was so beyond perfect and mesmerising whenever she was on screen. It took me a while to really get Shen Yurong's character and motives but the actor truly nailed it through his eyes and micro expressions, I really enjoyed his ending.
I wished we got more romance between the mains but that rain scene will replay in my mind forever.
Now what guys, I'm literally in that post drama withdrawals. I guess I'll just go and find all the behind the scenes stuff π
I'm a bit late to this drama but I literally had to run here after just watching that drunken rain scene at the beginning of ep17!! I don't think my heart has beat so fast in a drama for ages π³ Honestly this slow burn is killing me. I think I re-winded that scene like 10 times before finishing the episode.
This show will be the death of me and only about halfway through
I started this a little late to the party and binged the first 7 episodes. Really liking this show so far! A breath of fresh air after not being able to get into some of the other dramas I've tried recently.
I may have missed something but can anyone fill me in on how old is LLH/LXY meant to be?
The Immortal realm did feel very rushed and I know they had to cut down a lot of episodes and you could feel it, I felt a lot of Bai Lu's scenes were cut near the end as well especially. Though I'm sure they tried to do their best of what they had to cut down. I did really enjoyed this drama, it was unique and different. The costumes were to die for, the OST was next level and the chemistry was on fire. This show was its own thing, TTJ was a very unique leading character for cdramas and it was refreshing to see something different, Luo Yunxi did a truly amazing performance. There wasn't a lot of happy moments but I think it was meant to be that way as its more of a tragedy than a happy love story. I'm glad I went on this ride and I'll miss this show!!
I watched the first 4 episodes before putting this show on the shelf for a long while and let me tell you I am so happy I gave it another shot. I now understand all the hype! its 3am and just finished the last episode and have so many emotions right now! It was a good ride, the chemistry and desire to see the main leads together carried this show for me. The story was a bit slow in the middle and side characters could have had a better ending and better writing. But overall I really loved this show!
I miss this show so much, I've tried to invest in TTEOTM and LBFAD to fill the void after Starry Love and don't get me wrong I am definitely enjoying them and enjoying the characters, but there's just something missing to me after watching this masterpiece. I miss the humour, the genuine affection, the chemistry and not to mention such solid beloved side characters. This show definitely needs a higher rating. This drama still lives in my heart and no new drama can come close to how special this show was to me. I'm still going through wildrawels, this show was such a high haha
No ones talking about it haha but anyone else think Ye Qinyu is a total hottie and those scenes with Pian Ran are π₯ Sun Zhen Ni is behond gorgeous I can't take my eyes off of her when she's on my screen
Jeremy Tsui in this drama reminds me so much of Donghua from Eternal Love series and I cant stop seeing it. Only on episode 5 atm hopefully it picks up soon, though I am enjoying it so far.
Anyone else unable to move on and start another drama. I miss this show too much, withdrawals πWhat dramas have you guys started watching after finishing this masterpiece?
I really loved this drama and it's literally consumed my every waking hour the past couple weeks. I'll definitely miss it and happy we all went on this ride together. Definitely deserves a rewatch and despite that ending I hope it doesn't scare people off from starting this drama because it's such a sweet, funny, witty but also heartfelt and well written superbly acted drama.
I love how we've all been collectively taken over by this drama. Its the first thing on my mind in the morning, I live on its tag on twitter and this comment section more than half the day. Two more episodes to go I can't believe it! This show seems to be everything we have been wanting and needing in this genre. I'm so beyond happy I gave this drama a watch, it's definitely captured a large chunk of my heart and will always hold a special place.
Thanks everyone here for this wild ride, all your comments have fueled my love for this drama and these amazing actors/actresses. Can't wait for their next projects.
None of us are ready to let this drama and character's go π
I knew Man Man's death would be sad but wow it was truly devastating. I very rarely cry in shows but there were tears down my cheeks last night π Li Landi really nails down those big sad scenes, I've been so impressed with her acting, with all of their acting! Next episode my baby Kui! Can my heart take it! This show really delivers not just on the comedy but also real emotions and depth when its needed.
I don't even need a spoiler to know PY is gunna try and marry her π
