can someone confirm if liuxueyi is under new management or not? i think i once saw news abt he either established or went under new management but im not sure and i just want clarification now 🙏

its not because of their popularity, its because the previous rule that limit a show to have max 30ep (and separate it into 2 parts if they have more) has been updated. they can now air more than 30 eps now.

if you want to see smart fl surviving and navigating her way thru life, highly recommend story of minglan and story of yanxi palace. both are shows with big no of eps so youre in for a huge treat hahahah

i rewatch from 1st ep again and for people who wants lanxiang to seek revenge, i advise you to rewatch that very first ep again. it was not the lin family that she need to "seek revenge" from, it was the current emperor. shen and lin family are just people that were unfairly punished to make a point from the newly crowned emperor.

had not the lin family grandfather and father resigned from their posts and brought the family under zhao family cover, they too will face the same situation as shen family. but the shen family patriach dont want to deny his conscience and creed, which is actually shows what a respectable and honourable man that he is, except that nobody could foresee that instead of punishing just him, the emperor ordered the execution of all men in the family and enslavement of the women, as seen in the show.

now, lanxiang, after understanding that her biological mother wants her to live, how could she live without caring of the second life bestowed to her? ofc shes gonna live her life well and within reason. and after all, she was bitter that the lin family cancelled their bethrothal years back, but she didnt 100% blame the family, after all, like what she said to baogai, everyone is just trying to survive.

the villain in their original story is the emperor. imagine if they had married to each other as per intended back then? they would be the most insufferable lovesick and smart couple the town ever have for sure!! (which we will see soon and i really cant wait for that time to come arghhhhhh)

we must remember that at that time, a servant going up the rank as concubine is common, but to be the the main wife of a big family? uncalled for! a shame! so honestly, his reaction is perfect to what mindset the people of that era think. ofc, he didnt know anything abt her past as a daughter of a big noble family as them too, only audience know that, while in his eyes, he is deeply impressed with this servant's quick wit, but what a pity that she is just, a mere servant.

it was right after the divorce, and when the ml mother get rid of zhou family related maids. she called her by her actual name, then raised her rank to be the second rank maid as she was the only one left from the gang that still a third rank maid.

once the ml mother called her actual name instead of the name she received from zxt, they all understand the meaning of that now - no more yingge or wtvr that she was called before.

maybe i got too attached w these people huhuhu on the side note, i havent watched any ouhao's show before but i hv to say, him as feng dajiao and his honest, responsible backbone character is really so appealing, and to think that in the first ep we heard him telling that ox stone his sadness over xiuxiu's marriage. xiuxiu really scored big with her husband, thats why even lulu wants to snatch him up bsbsbs too bad for lulu, dajiao is a one woman lover bahahahhh

one sided crush that he eventually realized will never come true. as much as he dislikes the fact that she does favour the marquis more than him (or anyone else), he respects that nobody else could ever match her in all terms of status, sacrifices etc other than the marquis himself so,, he slowlys just focus in supporting changyu in the end. not truly liking marquis, not hating him either.

he really is a villain in yu qianqian's life so,, a SE for second cp means a HE ending for yu qianqian and her bao'er :'))

like what vievie01 said, their marriage in the first place was considered not legal since the husband name is not the real one, but in their heart they are always one. general public dont know abt their first marriage, until when they officially get married in a grand waaayyyy later, there even rumours that changyu most definitely love her "humble background first husband" more since everyone knows the reason she first joined army back then was to find her husband bfr, so marquis (later his title actually even higher rank) even have his xie family guards bribe beggars in streets to spread the rumour that he is, in fact the first humble husband of changyu xD

they will, at one point, goes separate ways during the war but in the end they love each other too much that they cant bear to not be together.

bad news is, in the novel they consummate wayy in later chapters,, so i would assume the drama follows that pace too. after all their marriage for now is just a "fake marriage" on paper to help changyu secure her house.

and be prepared for more political parts to unfold once changyu joined the army. they will be angst to their romance due to previous generation issue, but in the end they have a happy ending in novel, though im not sure how they will translate it in the show.

if "short", modern drama, you can try oh no! here comes trouble (2023). this is a taiwanese drama but this is worth it srsly i had lots of laughter watching this one, got spooked several times too xD

side note: both of the shows i gave 10/10 personally hahahahh
