Title Legend of Zang Hai Spoiler
Remember GM was taken in as a child by ZBW so he owed him his allegiance. ZH was always testing everybody to see…
But none of his past actions ever suggested that he wanted ZH to kill ZBW. What he wants is for ZH to put down the revenge - if it's possible.
Even when ZH was trying to uncover his third enemy, right after being stabbed by ZZF. He did absolutely nothing to help him find out the real enemy.
I could believe it if he had at least tried to give a subtle hint, but as far as I remember, he didn’t.

He saved ZH simply because he cared about him and didn’t want him to die. So, he genuinely cared for ZH, and he also knew that ZH would eventually uncover the identity of his third enemy. Then the confrontation between them was inevitable, and ZH could end up dying because of it.
Did it never cross his mind that all of this would happen?
Yet he just stayed silent until Zh found out himself?

I don't like how the writer portrays him. He doesn't feel like a real human.
He knew who the real enemy was all along, but even with a bit of conscience, he never once tried to give ZH a clue about ZBW’s identity.
But then the writer also didn’t portray him as a bad guy like SQ/LF.
He's just there like a 2D.

It would’ve made much more sense if he only knew the masked man was ZBW, but didn’t realize he was ZH’s third enemy, let alone the mastermind behind everything.

He knew all along, he was working for ZBW by training ZH. The other master decided to burn in the house when ZH…
Yeah, I get that. But it still makes no sense to me when he clearly knew ZBW was the mastermind behind the tragic annihilation of the Kuai family, yet he chose to stay silent and never once tried to hint to ZH who his real third enemy was.

I don’t really care about ZBW’s motives. He’s the villain. So, everything he did was expected.

What I don't really get is his master. He knew he was working with someone evil, yet he acted like he was not doing anything wrong. He still believes ZH shouldn’t hate ZBW, that ZH should’ve just been satisfied with the death of the fake third enemy and just continue to stay in court, assisting his real enemy.
Like, seriously? Lol.

But still, it doesn’t make sense to me. For the entire drama, he wasn't pictured as a morally corrupt person.
I just can’t understand why he would stay loyal to ZBW after knowing how tragically the Kuai family was annihilated.
It's fine if he doesn't feel anything before he met ZH. But after spending ten years by ZH’s side? Even after witnessing how hard ZH worked and how badly he was injured fighting the other two enemies. He never once hinted anything to ZH?

I could still be okay with it if ZBW wasn’t directly involved. But he was the mastermind behind it all. And yet, GM even had the nerve to get angry when ZH called ZBW an enemy? Lol.

Title Legend of Zang Hai Spoiler
What doesn’t really make sense to me is:

Did the master (GM) know all along that ZBW was his third enemy? From their conversation, I think he did.

He actually got angry when ZH asked ZBW whether he should call him benefactor or enemy.
If he didn’t know, his reaction should’ve been something like, "He saved you. How could you accuse him?" But no, he was just angry. That’s it.
He didn’t look surprised or shocked when ZBW confessed to being the mastermind behind the Kuai family’s annihilation.
So he must’ve known all along.

And I find that really absurd. He wasn’t a morally corrupt person, and I could see that he genuinely cared for ZH.
But he knew the man he worked with for ten years was a devil, the mastermind who killed ZH's family and turned him into a tool of revenge. Yet he was just… okay with that? He never planned to tell ZH?
He even got angry when ZH called ZBW his enemy?
He knew ZH would eventually go head-to-head with his third enemy, and might even die. But he still chose to stay silent for these ten years and let ZH figure it out on his own?
It just makes no sense.

I know this meant to give more emotional weight to the revenge plot,
But honestly, it only makes sense for the sake of the story’s convenience.

zhao bingwen is the mask man (if u want more spoiler about him, then lemme know)
Nah, ZBW confessed. The annihilation of Kuai Family was his plan. He was the mastermind behind all of it.
He also watched the massacre from the rooftop.
He saved ZH only for his ultimate goal - finding Gui seal.

I'll explain it more Clearly1. The ghost soldiers are not illusion. It's real. The blood mixed with the poison…
But how close did they actually get to the mural to start hallucinating? Apart from ZBW, none of the soldiers were near it, yet they all started seeing things at the same time.

I felt differently, although I was worried that his “early” death would slow down the drama’s interest.…
Of course they knew. After the massacred, the three of them sat together in the carriage, splitting the bronze fishes between them.

Hey guys. Can I please ask why would Su E Huang rather be killed than have a split nose? Does it have a meaning…
As someone living her whole live with "empress fate," getting her nose cut off would be a permanent mark of shame. So of course, she’d rather die than live with that kind of humiliation.

Also, in ancient Chinese culture, people believed the body shouldn’t be damaged because it was a gift from your parents. Losing a part of it meant you were no longer whole.

That’s why in some punishments, you’d often hear something like, “At least I let you die with your body intact.” Keeping the body whole was seen as one of the best favors someone could get during a punishment.

Unpopular opinion: I find the female lead mismatched for Yu Ning. Her acting is good, but her character has been…
Because they had to follow the novel. In the novel, she is reborn, so ofc in her second life, she is already a mature and wise person.
In the drama skipped the rebirth arc, but they couldn’t just change her character completely.

But i heard ml is worst too he is a very bad person who is only love fl but ready to kill everyone else except…
I'm not sure how the screenwriter's gonna write him in the drama, but in the novel, he really didn’t care enough about people.
He won’t go out of his way to kill innocent people, but if someone (other than the ones he cares about) ends up having to be sacrificed, whether on purpose or by accident, he won’t hesitate.

Pretty much everyone around him wanted him dead, so it was either kill or be killed.

Based on the novel's character summary, it's another red-flag ML, who's so possessive and obsessive, he's even…
The father and brother are possessive and obsessive too lol. All three of them are similar.

it's not cancelled, the actor involved has been replaced with another actor using AI face swap
Dang, since this isn’t an S+ production, the AI face quality probably isn’t that great. And with LMD playing one of the key characters, he’s probably got a lot of screen time too.

I wonder if I can watch this without watching the first 1?
Yeah, you can. This story takes place before Red Moon Pact.
Replying to yellowfruit Apr 12, 2025
so this is the prequel to fox spirit match maker? what the chronological order of the 3 dramas and whose whose?…
This story’s about Dongfang Yuechu’s aunt (Red Moon Pact), and it probably includes a bit about his parents too.
The timeline: Love in Pavilion → Red Moon Pact → Sword and Beloved (story about Dongfang Huaizhu and Wangquan Hongye’s child).
So basically, none of this would have happened if Jang Gang had never agreed to the King's request to switch bodies. I mean, was he out of his mind? The King literally told him he wanted an heir, which was the reason he wanted to switch to a new body. And when the King suggested switching into Jang Gang's body, this fool just went along with it? Did he never stop to think about how the King would produce an heir while in his body?

He was trying to save the world but ended up causing an even greater disaster instead. He wronged his wife, "his" child, and also Naksu’s family.
And his death? It didn’t fix anything. He lived as the greatest mage, created chaos, disappeared, and then died, leaving lots of unsolved things for others. Jeezz

Lol, he paid for his crime? Nope. he's still paying for it. He had the choice to avoid committing those crimes, just like many other actors out there, but he chose his own path. So yeah, he chose to get boycotted himself. It’s good that the Chinese government enforces such strict rules. It's warning to all other actors to not following the same path.

I don't see where you got that glorified killer feeling from, I felt hate & disgust all along. If you think life…
You might need to watch it more carefully then.
Ofc, the real case was so horrific that it left the victims with post-traumatic effects, and now making them extremely uncomfortable by watching this drama. That says it all.

I’ve always loved watching thrillers and crime dramas/documentaries, so I’m well aware of how dangerous and brutal the world can be and I have seen many more brutal raw footage than this. But what I truly hate and find disgusting isn’t the crime itself but it’s the way this drama is being directed, how it tries to gain popularity by using the four killers, like doing photoshoots, livestreaming while holding the spatula that used to abused the victim. like for real?

Dude, I really don't understand what are you thinking about. Prostitution is illegal in China. No one is ruining his career - he’s the one destroying it by getting involved in illegal activities. He literally chose it himself. And if you don't care about his private life, yeah that's on you. But the law care, that's why he's not going to coming back.
