I couldn’t care less if he saves her in the next episode. The fact that he’s tried to kill and hurt her multiple times is disturbing. He’s the one putting her in such situation and even stabbed her shoulder once again, and now I’m supposed to feel happy he’s saving her? LOL.

I waited so long for this drama, only to drop it after 10 episodes. I just couldn't keep watching such an unconvincing plot. The ML repeatedly tries to kill and hurt the FL, and yet the story is setting her up to fall in love with him? It’s so disturbing.
There's nothing wrong with a revenge plot, but promoting such an abusive relationship in the process is just absurd.

Zhang Dada and Li Gengxi are super irritating. One always stirs trouble, while the other loves playing the victim. I have no idea why the production team even invited them. LGX doesn't bring any skills to the team except messing around.

I've read the novel a few times, and honestly, WJY doesn't really match the JL described in the novel, at least in my opinion. But since it's Yu Mama's work, can't complain too much.

Age does affect how a character is portrayed. That's why some actresses stop playing teenage roles because they know they can't capture that youthful spark anymore. It's like when people complained about ZZY or CCE playing teenage princesses.

Anyway, if you don't agree, that's fine. Just move on. I'm not trying to force anyone to agree with my opinion. that's just how I feel. It's strange that people aren't allowed to have their own preferences anymore.

As expected, WXY is good at playing aloof and cold characters like XH. He closely matches the description of XH in the novel. It's just very unfortunate we can't see the chemistry between him and WJY. As the most beautiful lady in the capital, WJY doesn't quite fit the description. Having a 33-year-old portray a 17/18-year-old girl is a bit much.

And when it comes to the plot, there are some pretty big loopholes. In the novel, XFF dies and takes over JL's body, so no one questions her identity. But in the drama, she is still XFF, which is really questionable. How would she defend herself if someone from the Shen residence recognized her?

If the screenwriter intends to alter the story, her age should not exceed 20, as during that era, girls were typically married off before reaching that age. WJY's youthful spark has faded from her eyes long ago.

It's hard for me to believe someone without strong backing like her could do something evil and still be appreciated by others and walking to the peak of her career.

But yeah, this is entertainment industry anyway, you won't be stay in the top too long with a bad personality because good people get rewarded, while bad people face karma. As an audience I'll only enjoying their work.

Oh yeah, I know ZYM changed the role setting after hearing ZLY's opinion. I thought her opinion made sense because since the kid is mute, the mom could be mute too because mute and deaf can be hereditary and I think she's done pretty well in Article 20.

I've been following the Chinese entertainment industry for so long but never heard about her dirty stuff. Did she really do it herself, or just her crazy fans? I heard about her dispute with YM because of past things but I never heard about her with other actresses.
I just can't imagine a big star like her will pay people to do a black campaign against others.

But no matter what, YZ has been in the entertainment industry for twenty-plus years and has a lot of traffic. If ZYM really wants to collaborate with her, it will happen anyway in the future.

Yeah, he's done a lot of impeccable work in big hit dramas. I especially love his voice in Eternal Love, it suits Ye Hua's character so well.

Well not all actors/actresses excel at clear articulation, which is vital, particularly in costume dramas.
Given the characters are God and Prince, demanding a strong and charismatic voice, dubbing seems like a wise choice, as the original voices may not fully capture the essence of the characters.
Sometimes, dubbing turns out to be the better option than the original voice, like Dongfang Qing Cang, who was portrayed by WHD. It wouldn't have been as good if they had used his original voice.

She's already spoken about it. She mentioned they tried both the original and dubbed versions, and they think the dubbed sound fits the character better than their original voices.

Well I'm not attempting to draw direct comparisons between them. Rather, I'm just pointing out that these two characters share similarities in their pursuit of revenge, given their painful pasts. XW's character is supposed to be rich with emotions, not hoping he can achieve the same level as WL did. However, what I had hoped for is that, since ZLH has reached a more complex character, I only hope he would have a better understanding of the character. I wish to see more of the sorrow and pain inside his eyes rather than just throwing side glances like a typical villain.
Yeah, I love PWX's character, and I'm hoping he'll do an awesome job with it this time around.

If you get what I'm saying, it's not that I dislike him as an actor. I just feel he's not ready enough to take on roles that demand subtle emotional depth. When he portrayed characters like GZY or XW, I couldn't really see the required emotions in his eyes, which are crucial for a character like PWX. If he couldn't convey those emotions convincingly, PWX's character gonna be failed. I genuinely hope he can make himself more familiar with conveying emotion before reaching out to more complex characters.

I watched MJTY and SOKP partly because of him. I even gave TAG another shot, though I ended up dropping it after 4 eps due to the unbearable story.

I don't really blame his performance in MJTY and TAG because I feel like most of the issues came from the design of the characters themselves, which I can understand. However, in SOKP, he's pretty much turned the XW character into a true villain. Especially in the scene where he killed GYC, he basically just looked like a villain instead of the ML. I couldn't see any other emotions in his eyes besides hatred and jealousy. And I'm not the only one who feels this way; if you watch reviews from professional film critics, you'll find they have the same thought.

So, once again, I don't have any hard feelings toward him, nor do I dislike him as an actor. In fact, I enjoyed his performances in LBFD and as a supporting role in BEITD, where he seemed to have done so much better there.

If you ask me who I consider great, I actually tend to go with older-gen actors/actresses.
Younger gen that I will continue to watch their drama, probably
Zhang Ruo Yun, Chen Xiao, Liu Xue Yi (He's portraying Luo Zi Shang character so much better than the novel described. While reading the novel, I initially found this character to be quite irritating. However, through his portrayal, I gained a deeper understanding of the character's pain ), Tan Jian Ci (Only watched him in LYF, but he captures the emotions of XL's character so genuinely, he didn't have too many facial movements but each of his movement are just what is needed), Cheng Lei (his performances in short drama Familiar Stranger and MJTY really impressed me, hope he doesn't disappoint in his debut as the ML in bigger production drama, portraying the Xiao Jue. ), Wu Lei (His new drama as LYY didn't really satisfy me, feel he's not very natural when trying to be a seducer, but in LLTG, I really like how him deliver LBY's character who I feel in some way is pretty familiar to XW. I can sense a lot of emotions in his eyes: the anguish, the sorrow, the sense of helplessness, and the emptiness after seeking vengeance).
Imo some actor/actresses are just born with acting talent, some are need to slowly learn and take the time to grinding themselves to achieve the level. That's how things used to be back in the day with the older generation.

Agreed! I also enjoyed his performance in LBFD. Actually, I watched MJTY, SOKP, and even TAG partly because of him. In MJTY and TAG, the character designs were pretty weak, so I kind of I understand why his performance didn't really pull off. In SOKP, I pretty enjoy watching him in the earlier episodes, but during the scene he killed GYC, I felt like he could have shown more emotion instead of just sporting a villainous expression.

I think he has done so much better as SML/ supporting roles. I was pretty satisfied watching him in BEITD as well.
