Well, we didn't even watch the episode yet, the trailer could have more behind it. Also they had great communication but it's not like we don't see his PTSD, we knew he's not ready to be in a healthy relationship yet, he has no idea about how relationships work, cmon, he met ONE woman and she betrayed him....YH is literally the second woman he knows (okay there was also grandma but I mean one that he could fall for) and he was never in a healthy relationship before, let's just cut him some slack...of course what he's doing is not the best but it has to happen for the drama to keep going, if they had a perfect relationship from episode 16 then we might as well end the drama here.

I haven't watched that but it's no Xianxia and it doesn't even have romance, I guess it's easier to keep that closer to the novel...but all Xianxias I watched, plus wuxias like legend of fei, word of honor, who rules the world and even modern dramas like Lighter and Princess all were quite different from their novels.
