I know right??? I read parts of the novel too but I didn't expect it to be the exact same because none of her works were ever 100% the same as the novel and yet I've loved most of them! Her novels are great and even if they change things for the drama adaptations they all become very good dramas and very beloved ones! Especially this time she's involved so...it's funny to say they ruined the novel because then it was her own choice lol

well novel adaptations, especially xianxia sorta always have differences, i know LBFAD had many and yet it became one of the most loved dramas...let's see how it happens, if they were always happy and had no issues the drama would be over in ep20😂 so there must be a reason, plus the author is one of the writers, so anything she changed it was her decision

they bicker a little at first but it's not any heavy hate and they become friendly soon, like they do nice things for each other like he helps her study, takes her up in the stars, tells her nice things, all that before they get into a relationship, they're just different at first due to the way they were raised so that's where the bickering comes from but eventually it feels like they're best friends in love when they're together

The ending annoyed some people while others are fine with it. I'm mostly fine with it even though I'd love to get one that's more satisfying. It's definitely not BE you just don't see the last reunion basically but it's supposed to happen and everyone will be happy, it's like...someone forgot to add a last scene lol but I love the drama so much, it's my favorite Xianxia and I loved everything about it even the painful parts. The main ship is one of my favorites ever, I think they're relationship goals. They never break up because of their own will, and generally the only time they spend truly apart is like 1 ep...in the rest they're together in some way. The sisters and other platonic relationships and the secondary ship are also all great, I pretty much liked every single character, even the ones that were evil were well written.
