There are just a couple or so scenes where cuts are obvious and only if you are watching critically, not to feel it. Otherwise, as what happened to me, I didn't notice them at all.

Agreed. The effect was too much, as if the story suffered from the cuts which was not the case. The ratings in douban, mdl and viki dropped too low. I think the drama suffered from the bandwagon effect. People heard there was something wrong with the drama and their perception was clouded as they watched so they became critical of the drama as a whole, not just the cuts. Many think it's hip to bash popular things too. So there...

I love this drama so much. Beautiful, funny and intense. I didn't notice the so-called cuts because I was too engrossed in the story. And there are many romantic moments between the leads, I didn't feel bereft of romance at all. The love story is so intense it doesn't need more vivid outward manifestations to be felt.
