No I don't think so. JCY killed a masked man. That masked man may or may not have already killed Xu by the time…
Yup. Aside from JCY killing the masked assassin, folks missed two things (1) Xu only shown bumping his head on the rock with no blood, and (2) the dead Xu and guards were beyond recognition when found floating in the river.
Don’t think he was ever on villains side.He and the king are putting up an act. King acts deceived by ML and…
JCY killed the assassin (the man was wearing a mask too) while Official Wu was only knocked out after hitting his head. Official Wu and his guards' dead bodies were found floating in the river beyond recognition to hide the fact that he is still alive.
Love the fact that Mudan sees Liu Chang for what he is: a selfish man who cares not about her as a person. While he may be better than Wang Qing, he's still an AH
He starts with the assumptions that a) no one could be as good as his lost love, b) anyone his parents chose was…
I believe even in ancient civilization, it is possible to cut ties with one's family. But for him to do so would make him lose his noble status, and we can see that he thinks he's all that because he's smart and a noble. So I don't think it would ever cross his mind to do that, and be fine with pitying himself and playing like a victim of circumstance.
latest episodes, why is she still answering to and telling ppl her name is Mudan? People want to kill you.. HELLO?
In the novel, it's explained that her nickname is Mudan but though it means peony, it doesn't sound very elegant so her real name registered is Weifang although her family continued to call her Mudan.
excerpt: Mudan was just her childhood name; her formal name was He Weifang, though it carried the same meaning. “Among all flowers in the west, only the peony is supreme.” He Weifang’s father treasured her, believing no other name could do her justice—only the king of flowers, the peony, was worthy. However, feeling that “Mudan” lacked elegance as a formal name, he chose “Weifang” for official use, while the family continued to call her Mudan in private.

I've seen men in real life who thinks like him. He thinks highly of himself that he deserved more than a merchant class wife, that everything that happens to him is not his fault, that he has no choice, that he owns his wife and can do anything he wants with her. He can make his own choices and let go of his own prejudices, but he chooses to be trapped and playing victim. His emotional abusive behaviour towards Mudan was to feel better with himself having someone beneath him to bully. Unless he stops his pity-me attitude (which he still exudes as of latest ep), I cannot see him in a positive light.
Because this is how a women's life used to be in ancient times.
why would you comment on a generalization when this drama shows women's plight during tang dynasty? you should go to those other dramas to complain, not here.
waiting for ML to become a bit more involved in Mudan's life! I feel like he's a bit passive rn but I'm excited…
jcy tend to let mudan handle her own problems and only step in when he needs to. she's not a damsel in distress who needs saving at every turn. mudan embodies self-reliance most of all.
experienced ggs flashback when jcy bent down to move his face closer to mudan 🤣 but this time he's not as domineering and she's not cowering. so much fun.
From the synopsis, the FL is divorced. What does it mean "divorced from a marriage where only benefits were exchanged?"…
FL married 2ML to get a medicine for her dying mom. 2ML family married her for her dowry and supposedly her horoscope showed she would bring luck to their family. 2ML never wanted to get married to FL so on their wedding night he told him he would never visit their marital home, so they did not consummate the marriage even after a year of marriage.
i dislike this new trend in cdramas where they no longer post the full schedule from first to last episode. so far they've only shared first week schedule for this show.
It's highly possible that CP was able to sell the license to other platforms from different regions (not just…
to add: the "home app" of the content will always have first dibs (mgtv, youku, wetv, iqiyi) unless the buyer paid more for exclusivity (like sometimes netflix does). depending on how much is paid, it's also possible for a buyer to be delayed days after the "home app" (like sometimes netflix does as well) since this is relatively cheaper. licenses are also either global/worldwide or specific regions only. I've seen recent posts on this title from different legit apps that's country-specific. It seems like apps were sleeping on this and got woken up with the good reception.
Why China Huacetv takedown their videos?.Is there any copyright issue or problem with the upload process ?
It's highly possible that CP was able to sell the license to other platforms from different regions (not just Viki and Viu SG) that's why they had to take it down on YT.
damn them haters while china is gatekeeping this from us legallycan they just shoo and pester those dramas that…
mgtv subs are cheap but subs will give one aneurysm hahaha and it's not a secret how bad their subs are, so i doubt a lot of international viewers are putting up with it.

can they just shoo and pester those dramas that are easily available?
