Like most people here, my first thought on NYZ's undercover job was as a courtesan (a female one at that! lol) but then I think back on how he feels about courtesans and females forced into that work... so I dunno. If not that, what else would have been so embarrassing to never be spoken of again?
I don't get why the daughter in laws in Asian dramas get such positions in the companies, enough to make decisions…
I can't say for other dramas, but here it seems logical. TH's mother died when he was young. His father probably also did. Stepmom looks to be a capable businesswoman + added power due to filial ties. Aunt doesn't look that smart to be part of the main business. It makes sense for her to be in a high position in the business. Grandpa hasn't really relinquished his hold over the business too. TH and even stepbro are younger, but just at the right age now to take over the business, hence stepmom's agitation and ruthless scheming.
To be honest.. I'm having a hard time understanding the FL's POV and reasons (intentions) behind her actions -…
Han Ri Ta : a noble woman who despite being the daughter of a general was kept away from the gruesome realities of war. was a war victim as her family was killed (by her beloved) in front of her and even publicly. has seen her beloved kill his own bodyguard to let her escape. has seen her beloved kill many others to protect her. initially thought it was his father who makes him kill, but instead realized that her beloved (as much as we like the ML) has a default setting of kill to protect, nothing about diplomacy in his bones. and yet he is miserable being this killing machine.
Kang Young Hwa : a modern day woman. modern age morality puts human rights at importance. imagine being confronted with her past life with multiple deaths of innocents in just a few days. the dreams felt real, is real. it is bound to leave her very confused with her present life and her past self. then you have people around you being put in harm's way because of a so-called curse. she knows nothing of this curse except what the father-possessed ex-CEO and beloved-possessed ML tell her. how can she think straight?
