I don't understand your stance here. You're agreeing they have bad subs. So I don't know why you sound like you're defending them at the same time. Bad subs are bad subs. And? What's your point? I was saying that they have bad subs, which is the general consensus in this thread. Also, why are you bringing up other languages? English is the most used medium for internationally licensed series. Unless they're licensing to specific regions. You need to carefully reread what I have written in the previous comment.

What I was saying is, if they licensed this internationally, which means they accepted money so this can be broadcast internationally, then they shouldn't have used software translation in the first place. Everyone knows that machine translation is unreliable. But, I don't know if they do license this internationally. If they don't, then it makes sense they DGAF about the bad subs.

I used to care about literal translations when I was still in school and learning Chinese, but these days I'm not as pedantic. "Going with something easy" in translated works is mostly acceptable to me, as long as the main point is communicated, the dialogue flows smoothly, since the watcher won't even remember the details a day later. But extremely bad subs stay with the watcher for a long time. Which is true for this drama.

The subs are atrocious. It's clear they used an auto-translation software. It's comprehensible I think 60% of the time but I don't imagine the subs will help as the episodes delve deeper into the cases as time goes on. The low quality of the subs is glaring from the start. ML's name is Lu Feng Ping, sometimes it was translated correctly but sometimes it was directly translated word-by-word into "Land Wind Level". He has people who verbally call him, "Feng Ping" which is his first name, but it's translated into "Wind Level". I keep seeing "Wind LEvel! Wind Level!" each time someone calls him and it's just anti-climactic, you know? They would be in a tense scene and then it's just "WIND LEVEL!" And then "Luo Dui" should be "Chief Luo" but that was translated into "Luo Team". And this is just the small stuff. I can't imagine what will happen to the translation when more complicated issues arise in later episodes. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks bad subs are distracting and dampens the mood even if you understand the language.

i already dropped it before writing that comment. if you think acting defensive over a comment that doesn't align with yours makes you edgy, you need to grow up.

damn the story is so boring. the characters are boring too. and even though i know the language, the horrible subs are so distracting.

xiao yu got on my nerves in the later half of this drama. i don't know why she just couldn't understand guo ping's position. all she cared about was "I LIKE YOU I WANT TO BE TOGETHER WITH YOU" it's like she's got nothing else to do in her life. she's 26 and she still acts as if she's 16 and in love. if it weren't for this shady relationship i think things would've wrapped up quicker. someone please spoil me the rest of the drama because i'm getting irritated

Love All Play sucked in my opinion and I dropped it last year after 5 episodes. What are you talking about BRUH? You can't handle other people not liking your fave? Then grow up.

Honestly, it's perfectly fine if you don't like my review. I wrote exactly what I thought. All your disagreements seem to stem from your lack of understanding of what I have written, and what a review actually is.

I will only give an example on how you have misunderstood what I have written.

When I said YG was steaming with lust - he was. He was immediately attracted to her at their first meeting and he cared enough to deliver her fallen bracelet to her directly instead of handing it to lost-and-found? LOL. And he spent a significant amount of time spying her like a damn voyeur while she and her "husband" shagged. But there you go saying, "NO HE DIDN'T! HE REFUSED HER A FEW TIMES!" LOL what ??????

Also, I had to do a check - this drama is almost a year old!! Damn. So I have no interest in wasting my time addressing all your other points.

Calling my review a "biased" review just because I have scored the story a 1.0 and then demanding that I should have given it an overall 8.5 because of the acting alone is wild. If you want to rate it an 8.5, go ahead and rate it an 8.5. I can tell that men like you enjoyed the mindless sex scenes. But don't go around and acting all salty because someone else disliked what you liked. It's also funny that you're acting like my review being the top review has offended you. I can't relate to petty first world problems like that.
