I don't care how old the actors are, or any other personal details, as long they can do justice to the characters. The whole point of the story is one guy caught between IDENTICAL twins with polar opposite personalities. If u take away the IDENTICAL aspect, it's just some boring old love triangle, and I have no interest in those.

Addicted is overrated imo... It was the first of its kind, but it mostly blew up because of the controversy and the fact that leads are basically superstars now. The author has fixed fanbase which was another reason. There are much better stepsibling bls out there tbh. History 2: Crossing the Line, On1y One, History 5 Close to you (for all its faults).

I FINALLY finished it... I think it's cute that they also blessed us with the closure we deserved after almost a decade.

There are a lot of shots of people fishing and the old ladies cleaning the clams (or whatever)... so my first guess was tourism. I was never that into Addicted (or any Chai Jidan really, too much rape for my taste) but the cp here is consensual and that's what matters lmao.

I don't think this was a well-planned project. It seems more like an extended tourism ad for Lanwan Village. The actors either happened to be free, or maybe LFS did a favour to an old friend (LFS does short dramas now, but Chen Wen doesn't seem to really have anything going on) and they cooked up some alt reality version of their most famous roles and sold it as a low-budget sequel. I don't really mind though. LFS is not playing an abusive scumbag for once, and of course the nostalgia kick. Li Feng Song has more chemistry with Chen Wen than all his short drama heroines put together, so that's one more plus.

BL is Boy's Love aka Gay romcoms. I don't watch straight dramas. Micro dramas are an exception because you don't need to think or pay attention, play them in background while doing chores, so I don't really care how bad they are as long it does it's job.

I meant this specific kdrama, not the kdramas in general lmao. There are LOT of amazing kdramas, though I mostly only watch bls. Spring Fever is really good.

well, like most chinese products it's cheap, fast and easy. Still better than the kdrama given the time and production constraints.

pretty straightforward, no bs adaptation. Although 80% drama is centered on the leads, they showed the brother and his bf as much as they could. No kiss between the gay couple (because well, china), but they did come out publicly and were happily accepted by the family.

I mean the director is only as good as the script. And the actors are only as good as the direction. It's a joint effort, one man can't pull a whole team.

did you miss the part where I said it was boring and I dropped it? If I had 1% interest in the drama, I'd have cared. But since I don't, who cares if the names or subs are wrong or bad.
