Okay - so I just finished episode 42, and I haven't even peeked at the comments about it.Idk what was more intense for me...the actual episode or next week's trailers! 🤯Here are my thoughts, should anyone care to read on, lol!*I've always really liked CS.Now I love him! I almost jumped out of my chair yelling "YES!" when he told her to get into his carrige!All along I have been hoping that he will be able to move on from his feelings about her and find someone else that he cares about enough to marry.I'm getting the feeling that he's going to end up single.*I bet her family (mother) is now glad that CSS is the Empress's lady in waiting, because it's letting them just be interrogated, instead of executed. (I think the Emperor would have investigated the matter anyway, though.)I do have questions though:*General Zuo was at the family's house to "arrest " them (let's face it. I think he just wants to kill them all)and he mentions "the commandant a couple of times. Did the commandant really send him there, or do you think he was trying to use it to get revenge? *After her mom slappes her and says that you must live on speech, do you think she was basically saying "read between the lines, and go clear your father's name)*I am getting really tired of then Emperor basically ignoring the Empress a lot of the time. She obviously really loves him, and (yes we all know how in love he is with Consort Yue) I just feel for her.
I Know that my comments will be about what 85 % of you have said, BUT - I just finished episode 41, and here's my take on it: *It definitely showed the Emperor's love for LBY when he made him stand in that corner, just like he would his own biological son. (But we knew he loved him anyways..) *I dont think LBY isn't using CSS. I really believe that in his mind and heart, he's really thinking that he'll be able to get revenge AND live happily ever after on that piece of land. Remember how he almost told her the truth about his parents on that watch tower. HOWEVER, when his moment of revenge comes the insanity of all those years of hate and plans of vengeance will take over to the point that if he even wanted to take the right path he won't be able to stop. It's too ingrained in his makeup now. *They say absence makes the heart grow fonder. It becomes really obvious that CSS'S mother is really missing her when they are eavesdropping on her. (Making those "chicken wings, lol!) *I ADORE the fact that over time when his men talk about CSS and it goes from 4th Lady Cheng to young madam and in this episode all the soldiers have already accepted her as his "wife", and that one addresses her as "madam" That's my favorite part of this whole episode - at the military camp! *On a sad note, we once again see how much Empress loves the Emperor but in some crucial moments, his attention is on consort. *Chicken wings! Hahaha! 😅🤣😂
Someone told me that she has CDS get engaged to CS, so that she won't be alone.
But I guess we'll see how it all plays out!
